Adam: Hello and welcome to a podcast.
Aaron: You haven't been fucking recording for twenty minutes.
Adam: It's a we,
Aaron: Just so
Adam: we
Aaron: everyone
Adam: can, we
Aaron: knows.
Adam: can quickly recap this.
Adam: I'm almost done with For All Mankind.
Adam: We talked about the dudes from, uh, MythBusters hating each
Adam: other and then the Kennedys.
Adam: You miss nothing.
Aaron: Twenty minutes summed up in 20s.
Adam: But that's pretty.
Adam: That's the conversations we have normally.
Adam: So
Aaron: I was
Adam: there's.
Aaron: just I was
Adam: Oh.
Aaron: just telling you about a
Aaron: homeless man who threatened to
Aaron: kill me in traffic, and you're
Aaron: like, oh, by the way, I haven't
Aaron: been recording.
Adam: I was like, it's.
Adam: I feel like it would tell me in some way, shape or form.
Adam: But anyway, none of it was.
Adam: I think it was that was green room talk.
Adam: That was
Aaron: It wasn't.
Adam: locker
Aaron: It wasn't anything
Adam: room talk.
Aaron: good.
Aaron: Who gives a shit?
Adam: It was useless.
Adam: It's nothing.
Adam: It's just it's just putting more
Adam: noise out into a very noisy
Adam: ecosystem.
Aaron: Yeah. What's something we could say right now that that no one
Aaron: else is saying?
Adam: I mean, the homeless guy
Adam: threatening to kill you was
Adam: interesting, but.
Aaron: What's interesting about it is not that that happened, it's
Aaron: that I totally forgot about it and didn't even think anything
Aaron: about it until just now.
Aaron: And then I was like, oh yeah, that happened a couple days ago.
Aaron: And I just
Adam: Uh,
Aaron: looked
Adam: yeah.
Aaron: at him and then drove.
Aaron: I think I had gone to like go buy some cookies from H-e-b.
Aaron: So I had these, these cookies in my, um, passenger seat.
Aaron: And that's what I was thinking about.
Aaron: I wasn't thinking about the person who wanted to extinguish
Aaron: my flame because I was in a little German convertible.
Adam: That's all. Bark. No bite.
Adam: Though.
Adam: If he wanted to kill you, he
Adam: just would cough on you or
Adam: something.
Adam: Or, you know, stab you with a needle.
Aaron: I'm trying to think in the times that I've gotten, like there's
Aaron: been a couple times in Austin when a homeless person was like,
Aaron: I'm gonna fucking kill you.
Aaron: And then he kept it advancing on me like it was he was just like
Aaron: out of his mind, either on drugs or the sun or whatever it was.
Aaron: And it was like, it could have been either it could have been
Aaron: bark, no bite.
Aaron: But he was like advancing.
Aaron: And then I was just like, back the fuck off.
Aaron: Like usually I won't engage because they got their own thing
Aaron: they're dealing with.
Aaron: But like, this was one of those where
Adam: But you're
Aaron: backing
Adam: strapped,
Aaron: off back and.
Adam: right?
Adam: But you're not going to you're
Adam: not going to use it for that
Adam: situation.
Aaron: Say what now?
Adam: You have a gun.
Aaron: Uh, sometimes.
Adam: Okay.
Aaron: But that's again, that's like
Aaron: you said, that's one of those
Aaron: situations.
Aaron: Like, are you really going,
Aaron: going to shoot a guy who's
Aaron: obviously not having a good time
Aaron: and.
Adam: Some people fantasize about that.
Aaron: Oh, yeah.
Aaron: Like
Adam: Yeah.
Aaron: the.
Aaron: Yeah, the guy at the gun show.
Aaron: It's like I've been waiting for you my entire life.
Aaron: He's been waiting for this homeless guy his entire life.
Adam: Yeah, it's.
Adam: There are people who just they get off on that idea of, I don't
Adam: know, extinguishing someone else's being, I don't know.
Adam: And it used to be serial killers.
Adam: Now they're just people at gun shows.
Aaron: Yeah, they just have.
Aaron: They have their own booths
Adam: Yeah.
Aaron: and things.
Adam: I just assume because you're from Texas, when you come out of
Adam: the womb, they just give you a sort of like upgrade, like
Adam: RoboCop where they just, they put a slot into your thigh where
Adam: you can just.
Aaron: Here's pistol.
Adam: Yeah, you just, there's a
Adam: revolver inside you,
Adam: essentially.
Aaron: I'm.
Adam: And when you turn eighteen, you're allowed to, you know,
Adam: access your, your thigh hole.
Aaron: Trying to think one of the first time I ever.
Aaron: Because you encounter guns early in the in the South, and I want
Aaron: I mean, it had been like four years old or something like
Aaron: seeing I guess you you weren't in the South, but your your mom
Aaron: was a cop.
Aaron: But yeah, I
Adam: I mean,
Aaron: definitely
Adam: I
Aaron: remember.
Adam: found a revolver in the garage once.
Adam: Just
Aaron: Yeah.
Adam: not.
Adam: Not even that high up.
Adam: Um, but, I mean, we were always taught, you know, number one
Adam: rule is a gun is always loaded.
Aaron: Right.
Adam: So it's just, it's things like,
Adam: like I always was very
Adam: respectful of, you know, knowing
Adam: that these things could end a
Adam: life immediately.
Adam: They scared the hell out of me.
Adam: I still kind of do.
Adam: I still think it's a little it's a little too final.
Adam: Uh, being able to hand that sort of power to anybody.
Adam: Uh, I was just going through
Adam: that New York Times thing about
Adam: how trucks are so big and they
Adam: have so many blind spots now,
Adam: and showing the perspective of
Adam: how easy it is to hit one of
Adam: those, like, inflatable
Adam: pedestrians.
Adam: Pretty crazy.
Adam: It's just that reminder that as much as you are careful, as much
Adam: as you value your life, It just takes one other person to be on
Adam: their phone and in a truck that's eight times bigger than
Adam: it needs to be.
Aaron: I literally hit one of those little green kid flag things the
Aaron: other day, but I hit it on purpose because I stuck it so
Aaron: far out in the middle of the street on my street.
Aaron: And I just, I just just clipped
Aaron: it and I watched it spin in my
Aaron: side view mirror and I was like,
Aaron: a fucking
Adam: Well,
Aaron: thing.
Adam: these are the stories you're going to tell your grandkids as
Adam: they look at you in disgust.
Adam: And then also because they're
Adam: not really your grandkids or
Adam: someone else's.
Aaron: Which they, they tell me and
Aaron: remind me of like, as much as
Aaron: they can.
Aaron: Like,
Adam: Mhm.
Aaron: you're not a real grandpa.
Adam: Yeah. We're looking for our actual grandpa.
Adam: You're the one who just keeps
Adam: accosting us in the home because
Adam: you're lonely.
Aaron: Mhm. You wish
Adam: I don't
Aaron: you'd
Adam: know.
Aaron: had us?
Adam: Holmes.
Adam: When we, you know, twenty years,
Adam: when we, uh, when we're put into
Adam: the homes.
Adam: It's going to be robot caregivers, most likely, right?
Aaron: I guess. Yeah. I mean, I
Adam: That's why China's
Aaron: think about
Adam: doing it.
Aaron: well, I think about, like, my grandparents right now.
Aaron: They're paying they're living in
Aaron: these like villages, these like,
Aaron: I mean, it looks like KB homes
Aaron: basically.
Aaron: But the, you know, there's like no trees anywhere, I guess.
Aaron: So old people can't hit the trees and there's like golf
Aaron: carts and stuff like.
Aaron: But, um, I think about like what
Aaron: they pay per month for this
Aaron: thing.
Aaron: And it's like, you could just, and they don't own this thing.
Aaron: It's like a, you know, they're essentially renting it until,
Aaron: um, they move out.
Aaron: Uh, but yeah, so they're renting
Aaron: it and they could have stayed in
Aaron: their house that they had paid
Aaron: for.
Aaron: And if they had a robot, it,
Adam: Yeah.
Aaron: you know that robot is would probably cost six months of rent
Aaron: at this place, you know.
Adam: Right. But as they.
Adam: I think the hope and the goal is, is to
Aaron: Right.
Adam: become, you know,
Aaron: Cheaper and cheaper.
Adam: cheaper.
Adam: And it's just going to that's going to be the, you know, the
Adam: roombas of our future where this, uh, you know, this
Adam: humanoid robot that looks like your, your dead wife is taking
Adam: care of you, but, uh, you know, only speaks in Mandarin.
Aaron: No, I mean, it could be Hindu, it could be all sorts of things.
Aaron: And then as soon as like you aren't protective of your robot
Aaron: password and the robot asks you to, like, hold its hand as it
Aaron: leads you to the Bitcoin ATM.
Aaron: You know, that's when things really get fucked up.
Adam: Yeah.
Aaron: And it's like, yeah, the maid said that I owed a bunch of, you
Aaron: know, money on this account.
Aaron: I don't remember opening this
Aaron: account, but I don't want to get
Aaron: a bad credit rating, you know,
Aaron: whatever.
Aaron: And meanwhile.
Adam: Oh, yes.
Adam: Speaking of which, uh, I gotta, I got a. An opportunity.
Adam: A financial
Aaron: Um.
Adam: opportunity that went to our rook email.
Adam: Um, this this guy just goes by m a. Uh, he says there, there.
Adam: I assume it's a guy they're
Adam: looking to engage in a profit
Adam: oriented venture.
Aaron: Yeah.
Adam: Um, they have, uh, what is it
Adam: that they have the directive of
Adam: the s h h k Mubarak from Qatar
Adam: to, uh, look for a foreigner
Adam: that's capable of managing two
Adam: hundred million dollars held
Adam: abroad.
Adam: My feedback is welcome.
Adam: So.
Aaron: To be fair, that is like a
Aaron: rounding error for anyone from
Aaron: Qatar.
Aaron: But I
Adam: Uh.
Aaron: also like that it's a profit
Aaron: venture as opposed to a money
Aaron: losing venture.
Adam: It's it's just going to keep happening, though.
Adam: You're right.
Adam: It's going to be the robot just taking you for everything that
Adam: you're worth trying to maybe isolate you from the family that
Adam: doesn't visit you anymore.
Aaron: Oh, and it's worse too, because like the online scammers.
Aaron: Okay, what's the worst that could.
Aaron: Well, if they're in your
Aaron: computer, then that's a whole
Aaron: nother issue.
Aaron: But for the most part, they work
Aaron: off of psychological
Aaron: manipulation.
Aaron: Like, don't hang up.
Aaron: You'll go to jail, you know, uh,
Adam: Yeah, those
Aaron: go
Adam: ones
Aaron: to
Adam: are fun.
Aaron: the Bitcoin ATM or we will send the police out.
Aaron: You know, all this kind of like fear tactic stuff.
Aaron: If it's your maid, if it's your robot nurse, caregiver, and
Adam: Do you
Aaron: they
Adam: trust.
Aaron: just yeah, that you trust and
Aaron: they just kind of just put their
Aaron: hand over your throat and say,
Aaron: we need to go to the Bitcoin ATM
Aaron: right now.
Aaron: And what are you going to I mean, suddenly it's very real.
Aaron: Uh,
Adam: I feel
Aaron: no.
Adam: like even even that's, I think, just too extreme.
Adam: It's just going to scan your eyes while you're sleeping and
Adam: then access your bank account.
Aaron: No no no no. The robot makes you.
Aaron: That makes you get in the golf cart with them.
Aaron: It makes you drive them to the Bitcoin ATM.
Aaron: You're like on the highway in
Aaron: your golf cart driving to
Aaron: downtown Austin.
Aaron: Because that's the only place
Aaron: the Bitcoin ATM you're driving
Aaron: thirty miles
Adam: Yeah,
Aaron: to
Adam: and the
Aaron: downtown
Adam: robot makes
Aaron: Austin.
Adam: you pull over first and buy an extension cord because it's
Adam: running low on juice.
Aaron: Yeah.
Adam: So then you got to hang out at a
Adam: Starbucks for a little bit while
Adam: it's recharging.
Adam: You're still in your, you're
Adam: wearing that, uh, that sleep
Adam: robe with the little pointy hat
Adam: as
Aaron: Yeah.
Adam: that you
Aaron: And
Adam: only.
Aaron: you got your little fuzzy slippers on.
Adam: You were like, how's it going?
Adam: How are you doing today?
Adam: And you're just sitting there enjoying your matcha while, uh.
Aaron: The robot just puts a finger to its mouth and
Adam: Mhm.
Aaron: it's just like, fucking say
Adam: Don't
Aaron: a word.
Adam: this feels like an Aqua Teen episode or something.
Adam: Like don't move.
Adam: We're doing this.
Aaron: Yeah.
Adam: Wait for.
Adam: Don't leave.
Adam: We need the Bitcoin.
Adam: I'd watch that.
Adam: I'd
Aaron: I
Adam: watch
Aaron: would
Adam: an
Aaron: too.
Adam: AI generated, uh, Uh, Aqua Teen episode of that exact thing and
Adam: then wish for slow death.
Aaron: I'm basically saying, though, my
Aaron: grandparents are in in deep
Aaron: trouble when they ever buy a
Aaron: robot.
Adam: Yeah, them and all of China and
Adam: Japan and most of Korea, because
Adam: those are
Aaron: Yeah.
Adam: that's where it's going to
Adam: happen first because that
Adam: they're, they're dealing with
Adam: the there are more old people
Adam: than young people to take care
Adam: of them.
Adam: And the young people don't want
Adam: to take care of old people, as
Adam: we know.
Aaron: Yeah.
Adam: And so, you know, can't a Roomba do it?
Adam: And it will change your bedpan
Aaron: Or at least
Adam: for
Aaron: a
Adam: you.
Aaron: robot dog.
Adam: That might be the first one just just to change your diaper.
Adam: And then eventually you'll need, you
Aaron: You
Adam: know.
Aaron: could just eat your diaper.
Aaron: You need it.
Aaron: If it's a robot dog, who cares?
Adam: That'd be an interesting value
Adam: prop the only robot that eats
Adam: your diaper while you're wearing
Adam: it.
Aaron: Eats the diaper right off of you.
Adam: Just. I see it as one of those
Adam: Apple events, just the the big
Adam: keynote showing the robot eating
Adam: the diaper off of someone while
Adam: they're sleeping.
Aaron: Or it's just it's literally it's it's Tim Cook wandering around
Aaron: on stage, and you can tell he's kind of got like, his pants are
Aaron: puffed out a little bit or whatever, and he's just been
Aaron: actively shitting himself while giving the keynote.
Aaron: And then the dog comes out.
Aaron: I dog and just eats his pants.
Adam: Ah!
Adam: Where am I?
Adam: AM I still the CEO of this company?
Adam: No. Just let let the robot eat the diaper.
Aaron: Just let that robot dog eat your diaper.
Adam: Shut up!
Adam: Tim.
Aaron: That
Adam: You.
Aaron: robot dog that's manned by a man in in Islamabad who is having to
Aaron: watch from a first point, first perspective of eating
Adam: All right.
Aaron: a diaper.
Adam: And then it's going to drive them back on the golf cart when
Adam: he's done with them.
Adam: Anyway, enough
Aaron: Yeah.
Adam: about that.
Adam: Uh, so we, uh, we got a few things we got to get done on the
Adam: website this week.
Aaron: Yeah.
Adam: Uh, we need to do.
Adam: We'll talk later about the, the lingo for the landing page, but
Adam: I got it working.
Adam: So I'm running a little staging server locally here.
Adam: And the way I have it set up now, it's kind of cool.
Adam: There's the so there's a banner that we can do.
Adam: It extends.
Adam: And you know, I showed you the picture of it, but
Aaron: Yeah.
Adam: um, when you close it a little pill boxing just basically shows
Adam: up next to the search bar and there's this little plus and it
Adam: says about null void.
Adam: Um, and then when you click
Adam: that, it then pushes everything
Adam: down.
Adam: So. And then the idea of what we're going to do is that's just
Adam: for first time visitors.
Adam: So if people are coming back to
Adam: the site, they're not going to
Adam: see that.
Adam: Um, it'll, it'll just be this little about pill thing.
Adam: I gotta stop calling it pill.
Adam: It's a button.
Adam: Um, it's there, but it's, it's out of, out of the way.
Adam: So, um, we don't have to, you know, create a whole new landing
Adam: page and host that and all that.
Adam: We'll still just keep it all on the same platform.
Aaron: I'm really excited for these
Aaron: environmental companies to visit
Aaron: the site and see all the trash
Aaron: we've written.
Adam: Did you, did you like my subject line of, uh, what did I say?
Adam: Writing this drunk on shower water?
Aaron: Yeah, I, I thought that was very nice.
Adam: Yeah, I imagine you changed it, but, um.
Aaron: I don't think so.
Adam: Oh, cool.
Aaron: Why
Adam: That's,
Aaron: would I change
Adam: I
Aaron: that?
Adam: don't
Aaron: It
Adam: know.
Adam: It gets
Aaron: it
Adam: attention.
Aaron: went out as riding this drunk on shower water.
Aaron: One of the other subject lines was we thought Brian was a soup.
Adam: Mhm.
Aaron: Uh, Corvette should have been made from hemp.
Adam: That's
Aaron: Uh.
Adam: a good one.
Adam: I was I was struggling with the hemp one without trying to go
Adam: into weed references because it's not weed.
Aaron: Right.
Adam: Yeah. And then trying not to go the hippie angle at all, which
Adam: that's just that's just what you get with hemp.
Aaron: Yeah. I said
Adam: No.
Aaron: one of the other subject lines is.
Aaron: Padme brought us here.
Aaron: Um.
Adam: That's better than.
Adam: Yeah.
Aaron: Uh, you gotta back that biomass up.
Aaron: It's another good one.
Adam: These are good.
Adam: Good. Uh, funny enough, I'd done
Adam: some work a while ago on the
Adam: side through the null void, you
Adam: know, LLC just to bring some
Adam: money in.
Adam: Um, just some contract work.
Adam: And, you know, how there was this sort of like AI gold rush
Adam: where people were like, we got to use AI and everything.
Adam: Now there's the backlash happening.
Adam: Um,
Aaron: Uh.
Adam: got an email this morning saying, hey, we want to do more
Adam: of those AI videos.
Adam: Like seriously?
Adam: Wow.
Adam: Okay, so, um, that's unrelated, but you know, that just kind of,
Adam: you know, it keeps our bank account in good standing.
Aaron: Uh huh.
Aaron: It pays off the monthly fee to have the bank account.
Adam: Yeah. Uh, but, um, yeah, I'm
Adam: still waiting to hear back on
Adam: that one, but I mean, that's
Adam: whatever.
Adam: It's just, you know, contract work.
Adam: It's fine, but, um, I'll be doing some of that.
Adam: Just
Aaron: There.
Adam: just,
Aaron: It is
Adam: just
Aaron: pretty.
Adam: to fund your, your dream of
Adam: sending out emails that talk
Adam: about Padme.
Aaron: I like it, I still have, I think
Aaron: I have four left to send still,
Aaron: but whatever.
Adam: Okay.
Aaron: And a couple of them bounced back, but I can't find the ones
Aaron: that bounced back.
Aaron: They disappeared.
Adam: Really?
Aaron: Yeah, I don't
Adam: Let me
Aaron: know.
Adam: check. I'm. I'm in.
Adam: I'm
Aaron: Yeah.
Adam: logged in.
Aaron: See if you can find the ones
Aaron: that bounced because, uh,
Aaron: they're ones that need to be
Aaron: addressed.
Adam: Interesting.
Adam: Maybe we got the emails wrong.
Aaron: Probably because it was all like, guestimates of what their
Aaron: emails might be.
Aaron: It's all
Adam: Time.
Aaron: very interesting to hear about,
Adam: Yeah.
Aaron: but.
Adam: Yell at Claude and expect a different result.
Adam: Uh, not showing up on this one.
Adam: I'll have to log back in to the the other one.
Adam: Uh, the inter interface.
Adam: We'll get that figured out.
Adam: And, uh, I'm not going to do an article this week.
Adam: I'm just going to update the
Adam: spirited Vengeance Avenger
Adam: avenging spirit review thing I
Adam: wrote.
Adam: I'm doing a video right now, so that'll be done probably today.
Aaron: Okay, I will do an article.
Adam: That would be great.
Adam: I appreciate you.
Adam: Um, I was thinking actually,
Adam: just because the, uh, the whole
Adam: font thing I wrote about last
Adam: week got me thinking about
Adam: remember people?
Aaron: I can see the logo in my head.
Aaron: What the hell was it?
Adam: He's a guy.
Aaron: Oh,
Adam: Yeah.
Aaron: I
Adam: He's
Aaron: thought,
Adam: like,
Aaron: it is not a logo.
Adam: could be.
Adam: I mean, you might be thinking of something else.
Adam: I might be thinking of something else.
Adam: But either way, it just made me think of the whole NFT thing.
Adam: And I was remembering when that first happened.
Adam: And he was, he was like the big winner in all of it.
Adam: He's been doing digital art for a long time.
Adam: He's been giving it away for
Adam: free a lot of times, like on his
Adam: website where like, I've used
Adam: his, they're supposed to be like
Adam: DJ graphics or something like
Adam: that, but he would basically
Adam: just give out the cinema 4D
Adam: projects and like I used those
Adam: and, you know, award shows and
Adam: stuff like that for graphics
Adam: that I, you know, is basically a
Adam: free template.
Adam: Um, back before that became kind
Adam: of the booming business it is
Adam: today.
Adam: But I was happy for him because
Adam: he made something like four
Adam: hundred million dollars off of
Adam: NFTs.
Aaron: Holy shit.
Adam: Yeah. It was insane.
Adam: Which begs the question of like, was it actually just money
Adam: laundering, I don't know.
Adam: Um, but he made out really well.
Adam: And of all the people who
Adam: deserve to make something, it's
Adam: him.
Adam: And I know he's still doing stuff.
Adam: He opened up, uh, like an art studio in North Carolina or
Adam: something like that.
Adam: But I kind of wanted to follow up.
Adam: Like now that we have some time away from NFTs and you know what
Adam: his thoughts are on it and how, you know, we're not, I can't
Adam: does anyone still even attempt to try to use NFTs?
Adam: And the only or is anyone
Adam: pushing it, not just some, you
Adam: know, someone trying to scam
Adam: you, trying to get your Bitcoin
Adam: wallet.
Aaron: I never learned how.
Aaron: I only read about it.
Aaron: So, um.
Adam: I mean, you were looking at the coins though.
Adam: It's the same idea.
Aaron: I guess it is.
Aaron: I guess I was pretty heavy into fart coin for a little while.
Adam: As you should be like,
Aaron: Um.
Adam: how do I get my, uh, what was her name?
Adam: The the hawk.
Adam: Hawk two.
Aaron: Oh, yeah.
Aaron: Hock to a coin.
Adam: To a coin.
Adam: That's what is it?
Adam: Yeah.
Aaron: There's just.
Aaron: There's just a handful of people
Aaron: sitting on a Mount Everest of
Aaron: cash.
Aaron: Uh, of.
Aaron: They sold the pump of hock to a coin, a fart coin of space X of
Aaron: all this stuff.
Aaron: Like, I think it's, it's got to
Aaron: be just like ten people and they
Aaron: just have their finger on the
Aaron: pulse.
Adam: And I
Aaron: Um.
Adam: was friends with all of them.
Adam: That that would be
Aaron: Uh, so are you going to contact
Adam: horrible.
Aaron: this this people?
Adam: Yeah. I might reach out.
Adam: I just so I'm thinking the next thing I write will kind of be a
Adam: follow up on that.
Adam: Just like I just want to
Adam: interview the guy because he's
Adam: a,
Aaron: Yeah.
Adam: he's an interesting dude.
Adam: And, uh, he's got a cool story
Adam: and just more of just like, hey,
Adam: you, you're, you know, way more
Adam: about this stuff than I ever
Adam: will.
Adam: And how are you doing post NFT sale?
Adam: What do you think about NFT?
Adam: What do you think this stuff's going just because there's just
Adam: so much stuff around art and AI and all this other stuff of, you
Adam: know, where it's going.
Aaron: You gotta ask him.
Aaron: What the hell happened to my fart coin?
Adam: I yeah, I'll ask him that.
Aaron: Ask him what happened.
Aaron: Because I didn't sell it, and I don't know how to access it.
Adam: Do you hear me typing?
Adam: I'm.
Aaron: Yeah.
Adam: That's the note I'm writing.
Adam: Hold on.
Adam: Fart
Aaron: I need to give you my
Adam: coin.
Aaron: fart coin address
Adam: Uh.
Aaron: for sending and receiving fart coin to buy fart coin.
Aaron: I think I had to buy, like,
Aaron: Saldana and then sell Saldana
Aaron: and then
Adam: Is
Aaron: by
Adam: that like
Aaron: far.
Adam: a is that like last year's Hyundai or.
Aaron: I think it's an amplifier.
Aaron: Um, but yeah, it's it's some
Aaron: sort of magical currency to sell
Aaron: and even or to buy and even
Aaron: useless, more useless magical
Aaron: currency.
Adam: Right.
Adam: Are
Aaron: Um.
Adam: these the tokens at Chuck E
Adam: cheese that I buy so I can play
Adam: the game so I can win the
Adam: tickets.
Adam: So then I can buy the mustache comb.
Aaron: Yeah. If you could buy a, you
Aaron: know, I don't know, an eraser or
Aaron: something with a thousand baht
Aaron: coin, that would at least be
Aaron: something.
Aaron: But um, yeah, I, I forget how
Aaron: much fart coin I owned at one
Aaron: point.
Aaron: I actually think I sold it at a
Aaron: profit of like a two percent
Aaron: profit.
Adam: Wow.
Aaron: Uh,
Adam: Well, good
Aaron: because
Adam: for you.
Aaron: it had, it had gone up a little bit,
Adam: Huh?
Aaron: you know, after six months and,
Adam: I guess I.
Aaron: uh,
Adam: I
Aaron: yeah.
Adam: never got in on that.
Adam: I know some people who did
Adam: bought Ethereum and a little bit
Adam: of Bitcoin here and there, and
Adam: they've just been sitting on it,
Adam: which is I guess the smart thing
Adam: to do.
Adam: But you know, they turn their
Adam: five dollars into like fifty
Adam: dollars.
Adam: But I still, I don't know, I, I can't,
Aaron: Let me see what
Adam: I
Aaron: cryptocurrencies
Adam: can't,
Aaron: I own right now.
Adam: I can't gamble with that.
Adam: I've just been looking at my
Adam: retirement fund all weekend
Adam: watching it kind of wiggle up
Adam: and down.
Adam: And I shouldn't be doing that and
Aaron: No.
Adam: just constantly refreshing, like
Adam: when it's all all going to
Adam: implode.
Adam: But.
Aaron: I oh.
Aaron: Four hundred and thirty five thousand R Coins of Shiba Inu.
Adam: Was that the Dogecoin
Aaron: Uh,
Adam: or
Aaron: it's
Adam: that's
Aaron: one of
Adam: separate?
Aaron: the dogecoins.
Aaron: Yeah.
Adam: There's. Oh of course.
Adam: Yeah. I
Aaron: Uh,
Adam: there's so many.
Adam: It's.
Aaron: my four hundred and thirty five thousand coins is worth two
Aaron: dollars and four cents.
Aaron: Uh oh, I have some doge, the original doge.
Aaron: I have sixteen of those.
Adam: Wow.
Aaron: Worth a dollar and thirty three cents.
Adam: Hey, whatever happened to that one?
Adam: Did it.
Adam: It didn't do anything right.
Aaron: A musk musk got
Adam: You
Aaron: his
Adam: got out.
Aaron: pump out of it and then he's fine.
Adam: Okay.
Aaron: Uh. I own some Ethereum.
Aaron: I own zero point zero zero zero zero two five Etherum for uh it
Aaron: its value is four cents.
Adam: Okay. Stop making yourself a target.
Adam: But in the end, are you.
Adam: Are you up or down?
Aaron: I own Solana, I own zero point
Aaron: zero zero zero zero zero one
Aaron: two.
Aaron: Solana
Adam: Okay.
Aaron: for a value of zero point zero zero zero zero zero nine cents.
Aaron: Yeah.
Aaron: My return today was negative zero point seven five percent,
Adam: Okay.
Aaron: which
Adam: So
Aaron: is
Adam: they're
Aaron: zero
Adam: going
Aaron: dollars.
Adam: to they're going to send
Aaron: My
Adam: you
Aaron: total
Adam: an invoice.
Aaron: return is Zero dollars.
Adam: You owe them money.
Aaron: Yeah, probably with fees.
Adam: That's good.
Adam: That's smart.
Aaron: I can just go down all the things I own.
Aaron: Um.
Adam: I'd rather you're not, because
Aaron: Okay.
Adam: I'm.
Adam: I'm already getting tired of now that we're essentially recorded
Adam: a second episode.
Aaron: Uh.
Adam: Um, I was going to ask you, have you seen the Elektra?
Adam: Uh, it's a hybrid.
Adam: Aeroplane.
Aaron: No. Oh, yeah. Yeah. Yes, I have, I
Adam: Yeah.
Aaron: have, it's, uh, it's a V toll, is it not?
Aaron: Or is that
Adam: It's
Aaron: something
Adam: supposed
Aaron: different?
Adam: to be.
Adam: Or they're saying it's competing
Adam: with the VTL because it can land
Adam: on a runway that's only like
Adam: sixty feet, you know, say a
Adam: football field.
Adam: But
Aaron: Yeah.
Adam: yeah.
Aaron: Is that the one that can also be a car or.
Aaron: No.
Adam: No, I, I don't see that one happening.
Adam: I know people want it, but I will still be surprised if we
Adam: see an air taxi in our lifetime.
Aaron: I don't know.
Aaron: I think that you could, to be
Aaron: honest, uh, there's been
Aaron: automated flying for so long,
Aaron: like the L-1011 in the seventies
Aaron: could take off and fly and land
Aaron: by itself.
Aaron: I mean, we've had that tech for so long that I could see these,
Aaron: the cyber taxis evolving into, you know, it's a cyber taxi also
Aaron: Vtol, and it can fly itself.
Aaron: Once people get over something
Aaron: flying itself, you know, they'll
Aaron: just get in it and then fly
Aaron: around.
Aaron: And to be honest, I'd rather
Aaron: have if there is flying cars,
Aaron: I'd rather it be completely
Aaron: automated as opposed to humans
Aaron: doing
Adam: Oh,
Aaron: it.
Adam: God. Yes. No. But the Elektra one is a it's a hybrid electric
Adam: gas powered, you know, jet engine fuel, whatever.
Adam: Um, like it's a cargo plane.
Adam: It's really small.
Adam: It's just, it's like a Cessna or whatever.
Adam: Is that what those are?
Adam: I think
Aaron: With
Adam: what,
Aaron: Cessnas. Yeah. One brand of
Adam: what
Aaron: light
Adam: did
Aaron: aircraft.
Adam: JFK die in?
Aaron: Uh,
Adam: Junior.
Aaron: a Cadillac,
Adam: Junior.
Aaron: Cadillac and Chappaquiddick.
Aaron: No, that was that woman he was with Teddy.
Aaron: Never mind.
Aaron: Go ahead.
Adam: I was asking you.
Adam: I was making sure I got the the plane lingo correctly.
Aaron: Yeah, I think I think, uh, junior or
Adam: That was
Aaron: no.
Adam: a Cessna.
Aaron: Yeah, it was a Cessna.
Adam: Okay. Gotcha. Yeah, but I'll send you the video.
Adam: It's interesting because they're basically saying like, we can't
Adam: do electric because the batteries are too heavy.
Adam: But if you do hybrid, you can get like some crazy distance.
Adam: You can do like a pretty good payload.
Adam: And the runway space is pretty low.
Adam: And they're showing like these
Adam: planes basically landing on
Adam: freeways, which
Aaron: Mhm.
Adam: is it's kind of a flying car because it's just a plane.
Adam: Uh, but it's still like early development.
Adam: But, um, cool idea.
Adam: I just, I thought you'd be on top of that because I know
Adam: you're into aviation.
Aaron: Now, what I've been looking at
Aaron: recently is building my own
Aaron: experimental aircraft.
Adam: That's smart.
Aaron: Uh, no. No one's ever had an issue with that.
Adam: Yeah. Have you written a will or like a trust or anything yet?
Aaron: No. I've been listening to a lot of John Denver, though, just
Adam: Okay.
Aaron: to kind of prepare myself.
Aaron: But yeah, I, um, I got inspired
Aaron: again because my, my uncle
Aaron: dropped all of his crap off here
Aaron: and he has like all of his
Aaron: pilot's stuff and his pilot's
Aaron: license and everything like
Aaron: that.
Aaron: And therefore I feel like I have a pilot's license.
Aaron: So, um, I've read through most of the books and practiced the
Aaron: practical a few times.
Aaron: So.
Adam: Yeah. It's like when you were
Adam: your boyfriend's football
Adam: jersey.
Adam: You feel like you're on the team, too?
Aaron: Now it's like when you wear your
Aaron: boyfriend's military outfit and
Aaron: you feel like you're a part of
Aaron: the army.
Adam: Well, yes, but you got to get out before his wife gets home.
Aaron: Yeah, yeah.
Aaron: Just so you know, I am in love
Aaron: with him, and this doesn't
Aaron: matter.
Aaron: Okay, I don't care.
Adam: He'll be back from the Strait of Hormuz any day.
Aaron: Yeah. I'm sure he'll be just fine.
Adam: Mhm.
Aaron: Now, uh.
Aaron: Never mind.
Adam: Is it
Aaron: Yeah.
Adam: Friday?
Adam: Are we?
Adam: If it's Friday, the war is over.
Adam: If it's Monday, it's starting back up.
Aaron: Either way, he's looking at their joint bank account and
Aaron: seeing CVS purchases at eight in the morning for fifty dollars
Aaron: and wondering what she could possibly be buying.
Adam: You been going through a lot of mouthwash?
Aaron: Yeah.
Adam: Um, I'm.
Adam: I'm editing this video right now.
Adam: It's going to be pretty short.
Adam: I, I am laughing out loud
Adam: because I, I was able to trick
Adam: ChatGPT to like, it's been real
Adam: finicky.
Adam: This is going to sound weird doing stuff with children, but
Aaron: Uh. Huh?
Adam: basically I'm trying to.
Adam: I have old photos of me when I was a kid and I'm like, you
Adam: know, I'm talking about when I was, uh, you know, in the
Adam: nineties, walking around in a tan trench coat with my friend,
Adam: talking an old nineteen thirties slang, and I was like, I want to
Adam: see if I can get away with this.
Adam: And like, to my surprise, it was like letting me do it.
Adam: And it's, it's, it kind of looks like me, but not really.
Adam: Um, but it's keeping my acne, which is great.
Adam: Um, but it's, uh, yeah, I, I got to, I'll send you some of it
Adam: later, but I was able to use face fusion to put my face on
Adam: those, those kids running through the, um, the maze on
Adam: video power with their strapping
Aaron: Mhm.
Adam: games to their bodies just like
Adam: for like quick, quick cutaway
Adam: cuts.
Adam: Um, I'll send that to you.
Adam: Just I want to get your, your eyes on it just to, just to see.
Adam: But the, um, it works on one
Adam: hand because I can do low
Adam: quality and blur it and add a
Adam: bunch of, you know, grain
Adam: filters so that it just looks
Adam: like,
Aaron: Or
Adam: yeah,
Aaron: something.
Adam: essentially it has like that old filter on it.
Adam: And I feel like that's the only way you can still get away with
Adam: like some of the AI video stuff.
Adam: But I haven't, I haven't really messed with it for a while, but
Adam: now I have to, but, um, yeah, I'll, I'll send this to you.
Adam: I've, I've been having a good laugh.
Adam: Um,
Aaron: I look forward to looking at
Adam: yeah,
Aaron: it.
Adam: it's short.
Adam: You'll, I think you'll enjoy it.
Adam: It's, I don't know how I'm going
Adam: to do another one of these
Adam: though.
Adam: I want to I'm just there.
Adam: I'm realizing they're just
Adam: basically reflecting on the
Adam: nineties.
Adam: It's.
Aaron: Which has been most of your career?
Adam: It's just nostalgia bait.
Aaron: I think it's a it's a type of hoarding.
Aaron: I've been reading a lot about hoarding.
Aaron: You are hoarding these memories
Aaron: of the nineties because they
Aaron: give you comfort And, uh, this
Aaron: is my professional psychological
Aaron: opinion also,
Adam: That's fine.
Adam: I,
Aaron: uh.
Adam: I, I the only thing I can think of that I actually, I do hoard
Adam: on some level is technology and only because it does every once
Adam: in a while come in handy.
Adam: Like I have an, an old iPod
Adam: cable somewhere in the garage
Adam: because every once in a while,
Adam: for whatever reason, I need to
Adam: use that old connector for
Adam: something.
Aaron: I don't think it's hurting to.
Aaron: I've seen people who hoard tech like, I remember my mom dated
Aaron: this Vietnam veteran who had all these every computer ever from
Aaron: like the nineteen seventies that he had, uh, I guess it would be
Aaron: the early eighties, but
Adam: Yeah.
Aaron: yeah, and all the parts and all
Aaron: these things and he'd have these
Aaron: rooms.
Aaron: You couldn't go in
Adam: Oh,
Aaron: and.
Adam: okay.
Adam: That's unhealthy.
Adam: I feel better about myself.
Aaron: Yeah. And they.
Aaron: But the thing is, computers would be plugged in there and
Aaron: there'd just be this heat, this like plastic heat
Adam: Oh,
Aaron: coming
Adam: they
Aaron: out
Adam: were
Aaron: of
Adam: on.
Aaron: the room.
Aaron: Yeah, they were on,
Adam: Oh.
Aaron: but but he would never go in the room.
Aaron: Or sometimes he would go in when he like, felt one of them had
Aaron: turned off or something.
Aaron: Um, and that in my mind is a, a hoarder of technology
Adam: Okay. Yeah, I mean,
Aaron: also.
Adam: I'm.
Aaron: He'd scratched the same patch of shirt off in the middle of his
Aaron: chest because he thought his dog tags were there and all of his
Aaron: shirts had the same hole from where he he'd scratch.
Aaron: So, you know, you're, I think you're you're not bad off.
Adam: Not.
Aaron: You're all right.
Adam: Yeah. Give it a few more years.
Adam: Once.
Aaron: Mhm.
Adam: Once I get deployed.
Aaron: Once you're in country.
Adam: At this rate, we'll be back in Vietnam.
Adam: Just just so we can have one w
Adam: my my only issue I've I've come
Adam: to terms with, which probably
Adam: means I haven't really come to
Adam: terms with.
Adam: It is I am still in search of like the perfect mouse.
Aaron: MM.
Adam: That's really it.
Adam: Technology wise, I bought a another one.
Adam: I have three that I like cycle through and I still have like a
Adam: hard time like, and I keep buying accessories for it.
Adam: And I, you know, I bought like a glass mouse pad and I, it's, I
Adam: got these little like skates you put on the bottom so that like I
Adam: can because I keep telling myself like, no, I'm, I'm really
Adam: good at Overwatch.
Adam: It's the mouse is holding me back.
Adam: If only I could aim better.
Aaron: MM.
Adam: Um, which is not true.
Aaron: No.
Adam: No, I
Aaron: You
Adam: won
Aaron: should see
Adam: two
Aaron: my
Adam: games
Aaron: key.
Adam: this weekend.
Aaron: It's held together.
Aaron: It has a single wire like the.
Aaron: The encasement encasing, uh,
Aaron: plastic has completely ripped
Aaron: away, and it's dangling by one
Aaron: wire.
Aaron: I can see it.
Aaron: And if I just move it a little bit, it's going to rip.
Aaron: And I'm like, this keyboard's perfectly fine.
Adam: I could probably send you.
Adam: I think I do actually have some old keyboards I can
Aaron: No,
Adam: send
Aaron: I don't
Adam: you.
Aaron: want any any shit no
Adam: I need
Aaron: more.
Adam: to get rid of it, I.
Aaron: I'm wearing like three pairs of
Aaron: those headphones you sent me and
Aaron: I'm not.
Aaron: No.
Adam: For whatever reason, though, I
Adam: do feel upset if I watch a
Adam: YouTube video and there's some
Adam: tech reviewer guy or something
Adam: like that, or it's clear this
Adam: isn't.
Adam: This is more of like his hobby.
Adam: It's less of a, uh, this is like a professional thing.
Adam: But when people keep the boxes
Adam: of the stuff that it came in,
Adam: for whatever reason, that really
Adam: bugs me
Aaron: Yeah.
Adam: because that to me is just trash.
Adam: At one point, it did make sense of like, okay, well, if it
Adam: breaks, I need to send it back.
Adam: But with the way returns are now, like they don't care.
Adam: You throw it in a garbage bag and UPS takes it and it's done.
Aaron: Yeah.
Adam: So I gave up on that immediately.
Adam: I, I immediately just throw the boxes away because to me it's
Adam: just trash and garbage.
Adam: But anyway, so I think that's healthy.
Aaron: Yeah, I was throwing some boxes with my uncle was here
Aaron: yesterday, and I was throwing some boxes of parts that we had
Aaron: installed on the car.
Aaron: Like now the boxes were empty and I just started just
Aaron: demolishing them to get them ready for the trash.
Aaron: And I could see a little twitch in his eye.
Aaron: And then he then he let it go on the inside,
Adam: Yeah.
Aaron: partly because I'm like, this is my fucking house.
Aaron: I'm not storing any fucking old,
Aaron: old boxes from Canada and all
Aaron: this stuff.
Adam: Yeah. That's too much.
Adam: Speaking of next week we will probably have to move this.
Aaron: Yeah.
Adam: I got jury duty.
Aaron: What?
Adam: Yeah. Well, I mean, I got the call.
Adam: I have to go in.
Adam: It's.
Aaron: Yeah. And then you have to go lie to them and all that
Adam: I
Aaron: stuff.
Adam: don't have to lie.
Adam: I normally just say that like I just say the truth and
Aaron: Yeah.
Adam: I usually get off.
Adam: So then after that, they send me home.
Aaron: Like you get off in in the booth.
Adam: This
Aaron: Like
Adam: is
Aaron: that's how you
Adam: everyone's
Aaron: that's how you avoid
Adam: got.
Aaron: jury duty.
Adam: Everyone's got their kink.
Adam: Mine is not getting selected for jury duty.
Aaron: Mhm.
Adam: I, but I know the karma is building up against me.
Adam: I've never been selected.
Adam: I happily go just because every
Adam: once in a while you run into a
Adam: celebrity.
Adam: Last time
Aaron: Mhm.
Adam: it was Steve-O.
Aaron: Really?
Adam: Yeah, he was there.
Adam: He's very nice.
Adam: Uh, shook everyone's hand.
Adam: Uh, you know, want you to join the twelve steps.
Aaron: He was there at your jury summons.
Adam: Well, because the way they do it, they just.
Adam: They put everyone into the waiting room,
Aaron: Right.
Adam: and you'll just.
Adam: Yeah. Anyone who's anything, you just sit around all day waiting
Adam: for your group to be called.
Adam: Then your group gets called and then they go in and they go, is
Adam: there any reason why you shouldn't be here?
Adam: I, you know, tell them, you
Adam: know, um, my mom, roommate or
Adam: cops, um, probably a good reason
Adam: for me not to be on this jury
Adam: selection.
Adam: They go, yep.
Adam: Leave.
Adam: Um, and then you go home and then maybe go grab some food
Adam: from the, uh, I
Aaron: Commissary.
Adam: don't know,
Aaron: Why?
Adam: commissary is terrible.
Adam: You go down to the, the grand, the Grand Central Station,
Aaron: Oh, yeah.
Aaron: Right.
Adam: or, um,
Aaron: The thing
Adam: I forget
Aaron: that converted.
Adam: what it's called the, the farmers market thing down there.
Adam: It's
Aaron: Yeah.
Adam: great.
Adam: Looks like
Aaron: Why?
Adam: Blade Runner.
Aaron: Your mom being a cop and stuff.
Aaron: Why is that?
Aaron: Why do they go?
Aaron: No.
Adam: Uh, because typically it's
Adam: always like assaulting a police
Adam: officer.
Aaron: Oh.
Adam: Yeah.
Aaron: Okay. I guess if you had been.
Aaron: If it was for a drug case, you'd want Stevo on your jury, because
Aaron: he'd be like.
Aaron: Yeah, I snorted coke out of
Adam: Do
Aaron: my own
Adam: the voice.
Aaron: ass once.
Aaron: Yeah. I got guys I like one time.
Aaron: I like, I just snort coke right out of my fucking ass.
Aaron: And it was awesome.
Adam: Your
Aaron: And you're
Adam: honor,
Aaron: like.
Adam: we don't want the carny.
Aaron: Yeah, what?
Aaron: You're honor, he put the gavel in his ass.
Aaron: Your honor, he's, uh, he's hitting the gavel with his ass.
Aaron: Um, yeah.
Adam: Why is there a film crew here?
Aaron: Mhm.
Adam: It's called jackass.
Adam: This one's the end.
Adam: We promise.
Aaron: I'm Steve.
Aaron: Oh, and this is the hung jury, and he just pulls down his pants
Aaron: and puts his balls on the judge.
Adam: You. You're Steve-O impersonation, and you're David
Adam: Lee Roth are pretty identical.
Aaron: No, no, Steve-O is like, I've ruined my vocal cords.
Aaron: Like, with with chemicals and
Aaron: drugs and false teeth and, well,
Aaron: I guess it is the same as David
Aaron: Lee Roth.
Aaron: Pretty much.
Aaron: But David Lee Roth's got that like that southern
Adam: Oh.
Aaron: Pasadena, you know.
Aaron: Hey, guys, I'm the toastmaster, general, the immoral majority.
Aaron: And you're like, okay.
Adam: Yeah.
Aaron: But Steve-O has more self-awareness.
Adam: Mhm.
Aaron: They
Adam: And.
Aaron: both probably shove a comparable amount of things up their ass.
Adam: Well, you have to when going through airport security.
Aaron: Yeah.
Adam: On that note, I'll let you know how it goes.
Adam: Uh, we can maybe record later in the day, if
Aaron: Mhm.
Adam: that's okay.
Adam: Um.
Aaron: Just record live from the courthouse.
Adam: That was my thought.
Adam: Or I'm like, oh, yeah, he's guilty.
Aaron: Yeah.
Adam: Like, sir, you need to stop recording your stupid podcast.
Aaron: His name has an apostrophe in it.
Aaron: He's guilty.
Aaron: It's a thinker.
Adam: Mhm. I'm trying to end this.
Adam: That's what I'm thinking about.
Aaron: Okay. Sorry.
Adam: Yeah. Anyway.
Aaron: I'm going
Adam: Well.
Aaron: to go back to looking at what crypto I have.
Adam: Yeah. Uh, let's figure out a time.
Adam: Later this week, we'll talk.
Adam: Um, what do you call it?
Adam: Copy for the landing page.
Aaron: Actual business.
Adam: Yeah. Business to acquire the business.
Adam: Because you know what, as much as I think writing reviews about
Adam: Old Game Boy games is going to get us some, some nice, you
Adam: know, startup that's interested in, you know, when technology
Adam: or, uh, you know, wave wave powered boys, I don't, I think
Adam: we might have to go a little outside of our comfort zone.
Aaron: That's fine.
Aaron: I'm
Adam: Yeah,
Aaron: ready.
Adam: yeah, you got it.
Adam: I'm glad I hit record.
Aaron: Jesus.
Adam: This would have been an hour long.
Adam: Otherwise.
Aaron: Yeah,
Adam: Thank
Aaron: but
Adam: forty
Aaron: it feels
Adam: is already
Aaron: longer.
Adam: pushing it.
Adam: This is too much of anyone's time.
Aaron: I'm gonna go to the gym.
Adam: I know you don't
Aaron: Yeah.
Adam: have to say it every time.
Adam: I know you're going to do that.
Aaron: Go to the gym.
Adam: You know, Jim. Have a good Jim.
Aaron: By.
Adam: Bye.
