Adam Kovic: Good morning, Houston, not Vietnam.
Aaron: Uh, I mean, some parts of Houston.
Adam Kovic: Yeah, I wish I was in Vietnam.
Aaron: I'm
Adam Kovic: Back.
Aaron: actually trying to.
Aaron: I'm planning a March trip, and,
Aaron: uh, I was going to go to China,
Aaron: but Vietnam's
Adam Kovic: On foot.
Aaron: over there, too.
Aaron: What?
Adam Kovic: On foot.
Aaron: Uh, no. Uh, I'm going to take an airline, and
Adam Kovic: MM.
Aaron: I assume there'll be a rickshaw at some point, but.
Adam Kovic: Okay, Mr. millionaire, affording your premium economy.
Adam Kovic: Flights across
Aaron: Actually, I'm trying
Adam Kovic: oceans.
Aaron: to figure out the points game because, uh.
Adam Kovic: Oh, here.
Adam Kovic: You're at that age.
Aaron: Well, the thing is, I have a couple of friends who I know
Aaron: they don't make any money.
Aaron: One works at a hot dog stand,
Aaron: but he travels all over the
Aaron: world.
Aaron: And I think I think it's because he's opened up like fifty credit
Aaron: cards and it's just
Adam Kovic: Mhm.
Aaron: keeps, you know, punting the the
Aaron: balance or I don't know what
Aaron: he's doing,
Adam Kovic: It's
Aaron: but.
Adam Kovic: what the younger generations are
Adam Kovic: doing, which is it's just
Adam Kovic: everything's alone.
Adam Kovic: Uh, what are the the different, not cash.
Adam Kovic: What are the all the little things people are using?
Adam Kovic: Just pay it back later, you know?
Adam Kovic: And then when you die at forty five, they can't get the money
Adam Kovic: from you because you're dead.
Adam Kovic: It's a
Aaron: You
Adam Kovic: pretty
Aaron: know,
Adam Kovic: good system.
Aaron: it's funny because so all of these poor people and lower
Aaron: middle income, well, and middle income people doing the, uh,
Aaron: yeah, the car, Canva, whatever, all these loan things.
Aaron: Like it's
Adam Kovic: Kavana.
Aaron: a,
Adam Kovic: Yeah. It's all
Aaron: it's
Adam Kovic: kavana.
Aaron: all carbon.
Aaron: It's the same thing that
Aaron: billionaires do with stock
Aaron: equity lines of credit, like sea
Aaron: lochs,
Adam Kovic: You're
Aaron: they
Adam Kovic: not
Aaron: literally,
Adam Kovic: wrong.
Adam Kovic: Yeah.
Aaron: they borrow against money.
Aaron: They, they don't have they in theory have in stocks, but they
Aaron: just keep borrowing against this, this asset that they never
Aaron: cash in and they just keep pushing the loan until they die.
Aaron: Like it's, it's not like it's different, you know, from what
Aaron: billionaires are doing.
Aaron: It's just it, you know, you're
Aaron: financing instead, uh, you know,
Aaron: your groceries
Adam Kovic: Yeah,
Aaron: for the week.
Adam Kovic: let's listen to some, uh, some podcasts.
Adam Kovic: And that guy, uh, that the CEO of Nvidia was on it, Jensen
Adam Kovic: Wong, and he was talking to it.
Adam Kovic: It's always funny listening to rich people on podcasts because
Adam Kovic: they're so disconnected from the rest of the world.
Adam Kovic: He's like, I don't know my home address.
Adam Kovic: I don't know my phone number.
Adam Kovic: I'm like, that must be nice, insane person, insane,
Aaron: Uh.
Adam Kovic: rich human.
Adam Kovic: And then I was listening to this other one.
Adam Kovic: I was trying to find some like something that was probably a
Adam Kovic: bit more positive in the world when it came to like podcasts.
Adam Kovic: So there was this one called moonshot, but I ended up finding
Adam Kovic: out that it's just a bunch of rich VC guys talking about how
Adam Kovic: great AI is.
Aaron: Mhm.
Adam Kovic: And this last one I was listening to, you're talking
Adam Kovic: about how great AI is going to make everything, and it's going
Adam Kovic: to give us all this abundance all of a sudden like, well,
Adam Kovic: imagine if we had a big company like SpaceX because Elon, they
Adam Kovic: always call Elon Musk.
Adam Kovic: Elon, they call him by his first name,
Aaron: Yeah.
Adam Kovic: which is just like the most.
Aaron: Lonnie.
Adam Kovic: Yeah. Oh yeah, I was I was texting Loni the other day.
Adam Kovic: Oh me too.
Adam Kovic: Me too.
Adam Kovic: Like, yeah, just just the little parasites holding on
Aaron: Mhm.
Adam Kovic: for dear life.
Adam Kovic: Uh, hoping they, they get to go with their, their God king.
Aaron: Plankton.
Adam Kovic: Yeah. Something whatever the, the bottom, the rich bottom
Adam Kovic: feeders are, um, but they're talking about how Elon Elon's
Adam Kovic: giving away his stock.
Adam Kovic: He's giving one stock away to a child, which is like whatever,
Adam Kovic: uh, one hundred dollars or something like that.
Adam Kovic: They're like, that's how it should be.
Adam Kovic: Like the public would be more into this if they, everyone got
Adam Kovic: a share of these companies and then they would distribute.
Adam Kovic: It's like they're, they're just tiptoeing around socialism
Aaron: Yeah.
Adam Kovic: and communism and all these
Adam Kovic: things without trying to call it
Adam Kovic: that because of the the negative
Adam Kovic: tone, those things are the just
Adam Kovic: just the negative weight, all
Adam Kovic: that carries.
Adam Kovic: And then they're talking about like, well, you know, rich
Adam Kovic: people are making all this money and they're, they're getting
Adam Kovic: dangerously close to saying tax the wealthy, but well, don't
Adam Kovic: because those are my friends
Aaron: Mhm.
Adam Kovic: as just, um, it was interesting
Adam Kovic: to listen to mental gymnastics
Adam Kovic: live.
Adam Kovic: It was good.
Aaron: Yeah. And then also dance around the fact that they're giving all
Aaron: this stock away to kids so Elon himself can cash out, you
Adam Kovic: Yeah.
Aaron: know, so they're left holding the bag so that they're
Adam Kovic: Yeah.
Aaron: one hundred and forty dollars.
Aaron: Space X share becomes twenty dollars.
Aaron: And Musk is already, you know, jettisoned himself off to Hawaii
Aaron: or wherever he's going.
Aaron: He's not gonna he's not going to retire in Texas.
Aaron: Well, he's not going to retire, but it's not like he's going to
Aaron: compound up in Texas, even
Adam Kovic: Right.
Aaron: though he has a compound in
Aaron: Austin and in Bastrop or
Aaron: whatever, because.
Adam Kovic: Like he's talking, keeps talking about going to Mars.
Adam Kovic: Uh, what we don't know is that that's what he calls his
Adam Kovic: compound in Hawaii.
Aaron: Yeah, yeah.
Adam Kovic: Let's colonize Mars. But colony of one.
Aaron: He could just pretend and film
Aaron: at certain angles on top of the
Aaron: volcano in his backyard and just
Aaron: be like, here I am on the
Aaron: Martian surface.
Aaron: And then someone comes off screen with a little umbrella,
Aaron: drinks like, Mr. Lonnie, I have your drink for you.
Aaron: He's like, get the fuck.
Aaron: Come on.
Adam Kovic: Anyway.
Adam Kovic: It must be nice to be rich, is what I'm getting at.
Adam Kovic: And
Aaron: Yeah.
Adam Kovic: I'm just going to keep believing the lie that AI is going to make
Adam Kovic: our lives better.
Aaron: Well, I was telling you about
Aaron: how I was reading about Black
Aaron: October the last couple of days,
Aaron: and,
Adam Kovic: Yeah, you.
Adam Kovic: You
Aaron: uh.
Adam Kovic: just texted me Black October and
Adam Kovic: I was like, is this similar to
Adam Kovic: Black Friday?
Adam Kovic: What kind of what's on sale?
Adam Kovic: Where can I buy a new motherboard?
Adam Kovic: Because it still hasn't come from China.
Aaron: It's, um, it's the thing.
Aaron: So you didn't look up it at all, I guess.
Adam Kovic: Know
Aaron: Right.
Adam Kovic: I was.
Adam Kovic: I was driving in the desert.
Adam Kovic: I barely had service.
Aaron: Black. Black October is what
Aaron: some people in the tech sphere
Aaron: are labeling this month, because
Aaron: there's been a kind of an
Aaron: exponential rise in AI bot
Aaron: attacks on websites and, you
Aaron: know, institutions and things
Aaron: like that.
Aaron: And, you know, the, the bigger the big headline thing, the last
Aaron: week or so was the PHP, you know, uh, vulnerabilities where
Aaron: it's, you know, seventy percent of the web is built on PHP or
Aaron: has PHP built into it.
Aaron: And, uh, AI found, uh, kind of
Aaron: an, they exploited a loophole or
Aaron: exploited a, a hole in the
Aaron: security.
Aaron: And it was a big deal.
Aaron: But so these, these tech people
Aaron: are saying Black October marks
Aaron: the beginning of an ever
Aaron: increasing swarm of attacks that
Aaron: could lead to, you know,
Aaron: possibly because municipalities
Aaron: are automated and financial
Aaron: institutions are automated and
Aaron: people use the same passwords
Aaron: for everything.
Aaron: There's this like cats and dogs sleeping with each other
Aaron: mentality that that there'll just be this tipping point where
Aaron: things are getting hacked to such a degree that something's
Aaron: going to fall, a major institution, a major, a
Aaron: government or this or that.
Aaron: And the power will go out on this, and it will lead to a lack
Aaron: of security here.
Aaron: And it'll just be a cascade of attacks that could lead to two
Aaron: or three weeks without power or access to bank accounts or, you
Aaron: know, whatever the case is.
Aaron: And, and there's these people
Aaron: sounding alarms and the DoD is,
Aaron: is doing like, uh, I guess like
Aaron: kind of
Adam Kovic: Like
Aaron: games,
Adam Kovic: war games.
Aaron: war games,
Adam Kovic: Yeah.
Aaron: you know, like, what do we do when, uh, there's ninety days
Aaron: without civilian power, you
Adam Kovic: Mhm.
Aaron: know, and that kind of stuff.
Aaron: So
Adam Kovic: Who do we eat first?
Aaron: yeah, I mean, I've been buying lots of dog food for both me, my
Aaron: dog, and Mika.
Adam Kovic: And the ration.
Adam Kovic: Off to the neighbors, or, I guess, lottery off.
Aaron: So they can gather and throw gold at my feet and I'll
Adam Kovic: Yeah.
Aaron: give them their pedigree.
Adam Kovic: Yeah. I still remember it was, I
Adam Kovic: don't know, like early days in
Adam Kovic: the pandemic and going to
Adam Kovic: sprouts, you know, the health
Adam Kovic: food store.
Adam Kovic: And someone was there with two
Adam Kovic: carts full of food of like stuff
Adam Kovic: that's going to expire in three
Adam Kovic: days.
Adam Kovic: But, um, no, I, it's always fun to see us all in a, in a moral
Adam Kovic: panic and a, just a human panic.
Aaron: I'm looking forward to whatever
Aaron: this thing that's going to
Aaron: happen.
Aaron: You know, the whatever the Trump thing is going to happen, I. It
Aaron: may not be because of him, but ultimately it usually happens
Aaron: when he's around.
Adam Kovic: Mhm.
Aaron: I'm excited because it usually works out pretty well for me.
Aaron: Like, again, the pandemic that freeze in twenty twenty one in
Adam Kovic: Mhm.
Aaron: Texas where like everything has had stopped and I was like
Aaron: reaping the benefits.
Aaron: Like it usually goes, well, now
Aaron: I'm going to knock on wood
Aaron: because, uh, you know, maybe
Aaron: that won't be the case this
Aaron: time, but usually it's pretty
Aaron: good.
Aaron: Like I like when the March thirteenth during the pandemic,
Aaron: when Trump gave his press conference and announced that he
Aaron: was doing like lockdowns or, you know, there was like a national
Aaron: emergency and I lost every contract I had for production
Aaron: all that day.
Aaron: Like I literally got a call during the press conference.
Aaron: But anyway, that night I went to
Aaron: a drag show, uh, where they were
Aaron: just throwing rolls of toilet
Aaron: paper and there was a a big drag
Aaron: show woman dressed as a Covid
Aaron: nineteen.
Aaron: Molecule throwing paper.
Aaron: Toilet paper at everyone.
Aaron: Now, people didn't understand at the time that they should have
Aaron: caught that toilet paper and hoarded it, because
Adam Kovic: Mhm.
Aaron: the next week it was all gone.
Aaron: But anyway, that next week I had
Aaron: like tons of work coming in from
Aaron: like literati stuff and all
Aaron: sorts of strange things
Aaron: happening.
Adam Kovic: All right.
Aaron: The I got, I hooked up with a, a Brazilian woman at that, at
Aaron: that, uh, trans, uh, drag show.
Aaron: I, I met this Brazilian woman who he was definitely a woman.
Adam Kovic: Mhm.
Aaron: And, you know, we ended up, uh,
Aaron: seeing each other and getting,
Aaron: um, uh, you know, all the
Aaron: restaurants were doing like
Aaron: little packages that you would
Aaron: take and, you know, secure, like
Aaron: no contact margarita kits and
Aaron: Mexican food.
Aaron: It was a great time.
Aaron: Now I understand that there were some people in
Adam Kovic: Who died.
Aaron: the hospital?
Adam Kovic: Oh, okay.
Aaron: Yeah. And without work.
Adam Kovic: Mhm.
Aaron: But, you know, we're talking about me right now.
Adam Kovic: My biggest takeaway from all that is I did not take advantage
Adam Kovic: of the small business loan that we absolutely should have done
Adam Kovic: for our small business.
Aaron: Oh, yeah.
Aaron: And
Adam Kovic: Yeah.
Aaron: not paid it back.
Adam Kovic: And never paid it back.
Adam Kovic: There
Aaron: Yeah.
Adam Kovic: were so many illegitimate businesses.
Adam Kovic: And I was like, we we did the real bootstrap thing.
Adam Kovic: We're like, well, let's do this for as cheap as possible because
Adam Kovic: times are tough.
Adam Kovic: Not realizing that the government's just like toilet
Adam Kovic: paper at a drag show.
Adam Kovic: They're just throwing money at people.
Aaron: The trick would have been,
Aaron: though, is to not take, like, a
Aaron: logical amount.
Aaron: Like we couldn't have taken like, twenty five or fifty grand
Aaron: and not pay it back because that would have been suspicious.
Aaron: We wouldn't take out like seventy five million dollars.
Adam Kovic: I was thinking like a weird
Adam Kovic: number, like twenty six thousand
Adam Kovic: seven
Aaron: No
Adam Kovic: hundred
Aaron: no no
Adam Kovic: and twenty eight and thirty five cents.
Aaron: no no.
Adam Kovic: No.
Aaron: Aye aye.
Aaron: Amount of money so big that they're scared to even know what
Aaron: it's for or who's behind it.
Adam Kovic: I like your thinking.
Adam Kovic: I'm
Aaron: Yeah.
Adam Kovic: currently looking forward to
Adam Kovic: Nicki Minaj being the new press
Adam Kovic: secretary.
Aaron: Yeah.
Adam Kovic: That's that's, I think will be the best thing to come out of
Adam Kovic: all of this.
Aaron: Yeah.
Adam Kovic: I cannot wait, and I hope this is like that situation where
Adam Kovic: she's the she's the one that stays the longest.
Aaron: Yeah.
Adam Kovic: And it just devolves into her screaming at people.
Adam Kovic: I'm looking
Aaron: Her answers
Adam Kovic: forward to that.
Aaron: to some questions are just her
Aaron: clicking her her fake nails on
Aaron: the podium.
Aaron: And that's the comment like AP has to quote her as clickity
Aaron: clack, clickity clack.
Adam Kovic: Yeah. I'm just I'm excited for that.
Adam Kovic: I, I, I want to see like Ben Shapiro's head explode.
Adam Kovic: You know how he had a complete meltdown over WAP being a thing,
Aaron: Mhm.
Adam Kovic: and then he's gonna have to deal with this woman who he's
Adam Kovic: insanely attracted to, but can't admit because his racist
Adam Kovic: audience wouldn't forgive him.
Adam Kovic: Anyway.
Aaron: I just, I, I'm kind of sad that like, so Trump was introduced or
Aaron: I guess yesterday or the day before, you know, saying like,
Aaron: and how about that ass, you know, like, I wish that the
Aaron: dementia was progressed a little further to where he's like.
Aaron: And, uh, speaking of wet pussies.
Adam Kovic: That's a different singer.
Adam Kovic: But
Aaron: Oh, I thought she did wet.
Aaron: I thought she did.
Adam Kovic: no, you're getting her mixed up with Cardi B
Aaron: Oh.
Adam Kovic: and Megan Thee Stallion
Aaron: Is
Adam Kovic: and
Aaron: that racist?
Adam Kovic: a little bit.
Adam Kovic: I mean, I also would get I'd get Cardi B, Nicki Minaj and Doja
Adam Kovic: Cat mixed up sometimes.
Adam Kovic: There
Aaron: Mhm.
Adam Kovic: they have a similar sound.
Adam Kovic: It's kind of like how for a while, every thing I was I. I
Adam Kovic: heard on Spotify sounded like Billie Eilish for a while.
Adam Kovic: It's
Aaron: Yeah.
Adam Kovic: just, it just happens.
Aaron: Now Lizzo had her staff eat
Aaron: bananas out of Dutch prostitutes
Aaron: vaginas.
Aaron: This is correct, I know her.
Adam Kovic: There's this new report that came out I don't have time to
Adam Kovic: read, but I guess I'll, I'll add that to my Kindle.
Aaron: Yeah, well,
Adam Kovic: Uh, so
Aaron: what's great is, is
Adam Kovic: so
Aaron: Mika's
Adam Kovic: much.
Aaron: mom was is a big Lizzo fan.
Aaron: And keep in mind, uh, her mom is a seventy year old woman.
Aaron: Very, uh, fit, but she weighs about one hundred pounds.
Aaron: She's speaks with, like a
Aaron: Tennessee accent and all this
Aaron: stuff, very soft spoken or
Aaron: whatever.
Aaron: And he's like, what music are you listening to these days?
Aaron: She's like Lizzo.
Aaron: And you're like, okay, well, that's it.
Aaron: Gets her all pumped up.
Aaron: And then I had to be the one to break it to her that Lizzo was
Aaron: forcing staff to eat fruit out of prostitutes, pussies.
Aaron: And I didn't do it.
Aaron: I did it with a heavy heart.
Aaron: I'll be honest with you.
Adam Kovic: Yeah. Mhm. I forget if people like Lizzo anymore.
Adam Kovic: I saw some, I don't know.
Adam Kovic: There's no such thing as a bad controversy anymore.
Adam Kovic: I assume as long as you're in the headlines, your people know
Adam Kovic: who you are, right?
Adam Kovic: That's the rule.
Aaron: Really,
Adam Kovic: I don't know.
Aaron: that kind of action is like, you know, twenty years ago, it would
Aaron: have been seen as rock, you know, been like, fuck yeah, like
Aaron: the the initiations.
Aaron: You got to eat a banana out of, you know, whoever's vadge.
Aaron: But not anymore.
Adam Kovic: It's funnier the more you say it.
Aaron: Yeah. Times change.
Adam Kovic: Yeah. Do they
Aaron: Uh,
Adam Kovic: know?
Aaron: my keyboard broke.
Aaron: Shit.
Adam Kovic: That's good.
Adam Kovic: What were you.
Adam Kovic: That's actually good.
Adam Kovic: That means you can actually pay attention this time.
Aaron: No, but I can't I can't end the call.
Adam Kovic: But you can't use a mouse.
Aaron: No, because it's, uh.
Aaron: So the screen went to
Aaron: screensaver or, you know, login
Aaron: thing.
Aaron: Right,
Adam Kovic: Mhm.
Aaron: right. Yeah, I don't know.
Aaron: Something must have gnawed through this cord because all
Aaron: the wires are exposed.
Aaron: I'm looking at
Adam Kovic: Mhm.
Aaron: I'm trying to get it to where it's not shorted out.
Aaron: So to actually turn.
Aaron: Fuck.
Aaron: Ah.
Adam Kovic: Is this like when you couldn't figure out how to use Adobe
Adam Kovic: Premiere because you didn't know you had to, like, sign out and
Adam Kovic: sign back in?
Aaron: No, that was that was something else.
Aaron: But, uh, I appreciate the login regardless.
Aaron: Damn it.
Aaron: Yeah, you should see that.
Aaron: I'll take a picture of this thing.
Aaron: Maybe
Adam Kovic: I'm.
Aaron: I maybe I bit it or accidentally cut through it.
Adam Kovic: We are.
Adam Kovic: We're approaching the new end
Adam Kovic: times where the rats started
Adam Kovic: eating all of our car wires
Adam Kovic: again.
Aaron: Yeah.
Adam Kovic: Gotta, gotta start investing in
Adam Kovic: some peppermint mothballs or
Adam Kovic: whatever.
Aaron: Which is interesting.
Aaron: I have a seventy year old car in my garage and that no mice have
Aaron: gotten to the wiring yet, and they should have, but
Adam Kovic: Yet?
Aaron: oh, keyboard.
Aaron: Yeah, now it's all fucked up.
Aaron: Well, I'll buy another one today.
Adam Kovic: What I I'm confused.
Adam Kovic: Your keyboard died.
Aaron: Let me show you.
Aaron: Here.
Adam Kovic: Down. Oh boy.
Aaron: Talk amongst yourself.
Adam Kovic: I am I have been this entire
Aaron: Yeah.
Adam Kovic: time.
Aaron: Uh, I'm sending you a picture.
Aaron: Fuck, I have to.
Aaron: There we go.
Aaron: Perfect.
Aaron: I'm gonna take this.
Aaron: Send it to you.
Aaron: You can see what I'm dealing with here.
Adam Kovic: Yeah.
Aaron: There you go.
Adam Kovic: Oh.
Aaron: Yeah,
Adam Kovic: Oh, my.
Aaron: yeah.
Aaron: I don't know what happened.
Adam Kovic: I mean, that's
Aaron: It
Adam Kovic: just
Aaron: literally
Adam Kovic: a bad.
Aaron: looks something like something gnawed through it.
Adam Kovic: So with all your smarts, with all
Aaron: Yeah,
Adam Kovic: your wiring and
Aaron: Yeah.
Adam Kovic: the building a car you're unwilling to repair a teeny
Adam Kovic: little keyboard cable?
Aaron: Yeah, I guess I could, because
Adam Kovic: You absolutely
Aaron: this just looks
Adam Kovic: could.
Aaron: like, uh.
Aaron: I
Adam Kovic: It's just.
Aaron: can see exactly what's wrong.
Aaron: The
Adam Kovic: It's just
Aaron: issue
Adam Kovic: copper.
Aaron: that.
Aaron: Well, this is all.
Aaron: It's not copper.
Adam Kovic: Or
Aaron: This
Adam Kovic: solenoid
Aaron: this
Adam Kovic: or
Aaron: is
Adam Kovic: whatever.
Aaron: this is metal.
Aaron: This is steel.
Aaron: Little wires.
Aaron: It's just it's such a small gauge of wire.
Aaron: And I, I don't want to say my
Aaron: vision is getting poor, but
Aaron: it's, uh, it's not great
Aaron: anymore.
Aaron: And also my, I can't feel my fingers.
Aaron: So whenever I work on anything
Aaron: like this, I just get so
Aaron: frustrated.
Aaron: Yeah, I'm gonna have to cut this in half.
Aaron: I don't have to splice all these little wires together.
Aaron: There's a, there's a white one,
Aaron: a red one, a green one, and it
Aaron: looks like a, a negative shield,
Aaron: a yeah.
Aaron: All right.
Aaron: Fine, fine.
Adam Kovic: I would I would like to see you at least give it a A just the
Adam Kovic: lightest of tries.
Aaron: I'm going to.
Aaron: I'm
Adam Kovic: Thank
Aaron: going
Adam Kovic: you.
Aaron: and I'll I'll film the whole
Aaron: thing and I'll make it a ten
Aaron: part series.
Adam Kovic: That's good.
Adam Kovic: I just it's funny that you were, like, so willing to throw a
Adam Kovic: keyboard away over a bent wire,
Aaron: Here's
Adam Kovic: but
Aaron: the thing.
Aaron: This is
Adam Kovic: I
Aaron: a ten dollars
Adam Kovic: get it.
Aaron: keyboard.
Aaron: Would I spend ten dollars to not
Aaron: have to deal with this
Aaron: horseshit?
Aaron: Yes.
Adam Kovic: So I can relate to this story.
Adam Kovic: I have a just a little tiny micro PC in my garage.
Adam Kovic: And basically all it does is run
Adam Kovic: Linux and the 3D printing
Adam Kovic: software.
Adam Kovic: That's
Aaron: Yeah.
Adam Kovic: all it really does.
Adam Kovic: And I just whatever use the connect, I have a cheap little
Adam Kovic: Teemu keyboard that I bought a long time ago, and it's just a
Adam Kovic: little USB type C, whatever.
Adam Kovic: It's not working.
Adam Kovic: And I just threw it in the trash.
Adam Kovic: Um, I haven't taken that trash out yet, but I was just angry at
Adam Kovic: it and said, fuck you because I got three other keyboards just
Adam Kovic: hanging on my wall.
Adam Kovic: So I get it.
Adam Kovic: I'm laughing at your situation
Adam Kovic: because I'm also also that like
Adam Kovic: wasteful mindset of just, well,
Adam Kovic: if it doesn't work, throw it
Adam Kovic: away when it's like, well,
Adam Kovic: what's, what's the real issue
Adam Kovic: here?
Adam Kovic: But then also realizing I only
Adam Kovic: bought that keyboard for the
Adam Kovic: cable, had one of those cool
Adam Kovic: little, I don't know what you
Adam Kovic: even call it looks very
Adam Kovic: industrial.
Adam Kovic: I was like, well, I just want the cable or what comes with the
Adam Kovic: keyboard and a mouse.
Adam Kovic: Like I don't want either of those.
Adam Kovic: Uh, but they sent them so.
Aaron: It's kind of a bell curve thing.
Aaron: You know, there's the meme like, uh, it's a bell curve.
Aaron: It's like a, I don't know, it's the, it's the smushed face guy,
Aaron: like dumb guy.
Aaron: And then the Legion guy.
Aaron: And then it goes back to the guy.
Aaron: The, the left end of that bell
Aaron: curve is this is too
Aaron: complicated.
Aaron: Look at all these wire.
Aaron: I can't do this.
Aaron: Well, uh, the middle, you know, bulging thing is like, I will
Aaron: fix this keyboard.
Aaron: I can do it.
Aaron: And then the far right end of it's like, I know how to fix
Aaron: this and I'm not fixing this.
Adam Kovic: Buy a new keyboard.
Aaron: Buy a new keyboard.
Adam Kovic: Yeah, no, I get I get you.
Adam Kovic: Um, I don't know if we're going
Adam Kovic: to be able to reverse engineer
Adam Kovic: things anymore.
Adam Kovic: At least with Claude, I think
Adam Kovic: they're, they're getting rid of
Adam Kovic: that because, uh, too many
Adam Kovic: people are making old games that
Adam Kovic: were completely unplayable on
Adam Kovic: old hardware, uh, playable on
Adam Kovic: current tech.
Adam Kovic: And Nintendo doesn't like that.
Adam Kovic: So we can't do that anymore.
Aaron: Why
Adam Kovic: But I
Aaron: wouldn't
Adam Kovic: heard.
Aaron: you just use a an a, like a open source model that's just as
Aaron: competent with that stuff?
Adam Kovic: That's what I'm, I'm actually going to try started looking at
Adam Kovic: the Kimi and deep sea pricing because they're like, yeah,
Adam Kovic: sure, we'll, we'll hack this.
Adam Kovic: Whatever.
Adam Kovic: I know Claude's the best one, but it is that reminder that,
Adam Kovic: you know, sometimes you try to look for something on Google,
Adam Kovic: like you type YouTube downloader, of course it's not
Adam Kovic: going to show up.
Adam Kovic: So you got to use something shady like Yandex when their
Adam Kovic: servers aren't being bombed.
Adam Kovic: And.
Aaron: Like, Can you use Bing for porn?
Aaron: Because you know, it'll be better.
Adam Kovic: That's that's what they're, uh, they're search bar says, like,
Adam Kovic: we know why you're here.
Aaron: Yeah. There's only one reason why you're using Bing.
Aaron: Oh,
Adam Kovic: We show
Aaron: okay.
Adam Kovic: you what Google's too afraid to show you YouTube
Aaron: Mhm.
Adam Kovic: download links and, uh, these
Adam Kovic: weird banana videos Aaron wants
Adam Kovic: to watch.
Aaron: Yeah. Well, yeah.
Aaron: Um, I would just, I mean, open source model and I mean, how how
Aaron: quickly would you get sued by.
Aaron: I don't know, whoever by having
Aaron: a site that basically makes it
Aaron: easy to use these open source
Aaron: models to, to change your games
Aaron: or problems
Adam Kovic: Right.
Aaron: for your games.
Adam Kovic: I mean, you just use like open router, which connects
Aaron: Yeah.
Adam Kovic: you to all of them, but then I don't know.
Adam Kovic: I mean, they can't no one can
Adam Kovic: send a cease and desist deep
Adam Kovic: sea, I don't think I guess I can
Adam Kovic: try
Aaron: Yeah.
Adam Kovic: or
Aaron: Maybe.
Adam Kovic: or Kimmy, I don't know.
Adam Kovic: I'm not familiar enough with
Adam Kovic: either of those because I'm I'm
Adam Kovic: just I'm stuck in the clod
Adam Kovic: world.
Adam Kovic: It's been kind of a godsend for
Adam Kovic: just a lot of the dumb, stupid
Adam Kovic: things I try to do on a daily
Adam Kovic: basis.
Aaron: Yeah.
Adam Kovic: Um, hasn't completely taken over my thinking yet, but it will.
Aaron: It's about Claude.
Adam Kovic: Yeah.
Aaron: Yeah. It's, uh, it's taken over
Aaron: some of the thinking of
Aaron: actually, some CEOs that I've
Aaron: seen.
Aaron: And it's kind of I mean, on the one hand, I'm like, yeah, man,
Aaron: we can do this.
Aaron: Sure.
Aaron: That sounds like a great plan.
Aaron: On the other hand, I'm like, I
Aaron: can see your brain
Aaron: deteriorating.
Aaron: I remember when you thought about things before saying these
Aaron: things and it's just, you know.
Adam Kovic: I, I'm like, I'm of two minds of it just because.
Adam Kovic: For, for someone to sit there
Adam Kovic: and call out, well, you're just
Adam Kovic: giving your thinking process to
Adam Kovic: an AI.
Adam Kovic: It's like totally true.
Adam Kovic: But before that, you were giving your thinking process to a
Adam Kovic: Twitter echo chamber or a Reddit echo chamber or something.
Adam Kovic: You were seeking out people with like minded views or things that
Adam Kovic: made you feel good emotionally.
Adam Kovic: And that was just echoing back what you wanted to hear.
Adam Kovic: It's obviously not for everybody, but that's probably a
Adam Kovic: good chunk of people who are just like, you know what?
Adam Kovic: I have thoughts on this, but I'd rather have John Oliver tell me
Adam Kovic: how to feel, or I'd rather have Fox News tell me how to feel
Aaron: Well.
Adam Kovic: because it's too much.
Adam Kovic: It's too much for me to do right now.
Adam Kovic: Tell me how to vote, please.
Aaron: I understand the like gut check thing, but when it becomes like,
Aaron: give me ideas to gut check.
Aaron: And then once you give me those
Aaron: ideas, let me gut check them
Aaron: using you, you know, like it's,
Aaron: it's a, there's a difference
Aaron: between like having the thought
Aaron: or the idea and then going to
Aaron: the, you know, peanut gallery or
Aaron: the hive mind or whatever the
Aaron: case is.
Aaron: But when it's also like for the
Aaron: thought or idea, you're using
Aaron: it.
Aaron: And I, I think that's where you start kind of your brain starts
Aaron: getting a little mushy, but.
Adam Kovic: Yeah. I mean, our brains are already mush.
Adam Kovic: How how often are we just glued
Adam Kovic: to the little doom rectangle in
Adam Kovic: our pocket?
Aaron: You'll be very impressed to know that while you were saying
Aaron: whatever you were saying, I have skinned this wire using nothing
Aaron: but an exacto blade, which was on my desk for some reason, I
Aaron: don't remember why.
Aaron: Uh, I have identified the issue.
Aaron: Now I need to, uh, d cover the, uh, whatever these.
Aaron: This is like a thirty gauge wire.
Aaron: This is like as thick as, like a syringe needle.
Aaron: I don't know how I'm going to do this.
Adam Kovic: I think if you just put enough of the, um, solder on there,
Adam Kovic: you're good to go.
Aaron: No.
Adam Kovic: You just dip it in it like it's
Aaron: Yeah.
Adam Kovic: just going to look like liquid
Adam Kovic: Terminator when you're done with
Adam Kovic: it.
Aaron: How long did it take you to fix your motorcycle wiring?
Aaron: Shit.
Adam Kovic: Well, once I found the correct
Adam Kovic: YouTube video that told me what
Adam Kovic: to do
Aaron: Yeah.
Adam Kovic: and did the thinking for me,
Aaron: Yeah. It's coming.
Adam Kovic: I
Aaron: It's all
Adam Kovic: was
Aaron: coming out now.
Adam Kovic: so up on the subject of AI all all up everywhere.
Adam Kovic: I didn't realize how prominent it was in Vegas like
Aaron: Huh?
Adam Kovic: so we went to Las Vegas over the weekend, went to Death Valley
Adam Kovic: for like a mini road trip.
Aaron: Yeah.
Adam Kovic: Um, just saw the sunset at the dunes.
Adam Kovic: Really nice, like just beautiful there.
Adam Kovic: But that's like another two and a half hours outside of Vegas.
Adam Kovic: But we stayed in Vegas, stayed at the Cerca, which is like a
Adam Kovic: renovated old or it's a new hotel, but it's like a new meets
Adam Kovic: old sort of thing.
Adam Kovic: So it's in old Vegas and like
Adam Kovic: walking down Fremont Street,
Adam Kovic: there's just it's just AI art
Adam Kovic: for everything.
Adam Kovic: Everything they use is AI art.
Adam Kovic: Um, I hate calling it art because it's not really art.
Adam Kovic: It's just, you know, I typed the words into a thing or they're,
Adam Kovic: you know, they probably hired some using air quotes here
Adam Kovic: artist to make this these like, you know, Halloween trivia night
Adam Kovic: thing or, you know, three shots for three dollars sort of deal.
Adam Kovic: Then we went to this restaurant called Pachi Pachi, which is
Adam Kovic: like this Japanese themed.
Adam Kovic: It's a white person's interpretation of Japan.
Aaron: Mhm.
Adam Kovic: And all the video on the walls was, I assume, early stable
Adam Kovic: diffusion style art.
Adam Kovic: What they were doing, um, but it was animated and it was like, it
Adam Kovic: was like early AI animation.
Adam Kovic: They were still using older stuff.
Aaron: Mhm.
Adam Kovic: So I could see and I could see it playing, but the end product
Adam Kovic: was actually kind of cool.
Adam Kovic: Like it had a cool effect because it was, it was just
Adam Kovic: moving like a music video.
Aaron: Yeah.
Adam Kovic: Um,
Aaron: It's like a weird dream.
Adam Kovic: yeah, not, not so that much.
Adam Kovic: So, but like, I could tell that they just used the same
Adam Kovic: generation multiple times, probably used some kind of a
Adam Kovic: control net so that it would retain some of the shape.
Adam Kovic: And then like certain things would change.
Adam Kovic: And some of the lettering on on
Adam Kovic: the jackets were weird and stuff
Adam Kovic: like that, but it moves so
Adam Kovic: quickly.
Adam Kovic: I was like, I guess this is kind
Adam Kovic: of forgivable because it's kind
Adam Kovic: of more of like an art
Adam Kovic: installation thing.
Adam Kovic: And it, it goes with the theme of there, you know, this, this
Adam Kovic: bar thing with, uh, they had a really good, it was called a,
Adam Kovic: uh, a Wagyu old fashioned, I think you would have liked it.
Adam Kovic: They put beef tallow in it.
Aaron: What?
Adam Kovic: I, it sounded weird, but yeah, it was, uh, it was a Japanese
Adam Kovic: whiskey with yuzu in it.
Adam Kovic: And then they put some like beef tallow in there to give it this
Adam Kovic: sort of like oily texture feel, but it was surprisingly good.
Aaron: Are.
Adam Kovic: So I think you would have liked it either way.
Adam Kovic: I was just sort of like blown
Adam Kovic: away about like with how much of
Adam Kovic: the Vegas is using all the AI
Adam Kovic: stuff everywhere.
Aaron: Well,
Adam Kovic: But.
Aaron: they got a. They got a cut
Aaron: expenditures however they can
Aaron: with the lack of business that's
Aaron: going
Adam Kovic: Yeah.
Aaron: through.
Adam Kovic: So yes, I forget what it is like gambling is down like sixty
Adam Kovic: percent or something
Aaron: Mhm.
Adam Kovic: like that, something insane.
Adam Kovic: So that's why you got to pay for parking.
Adam Kovic: Now there are no more buffets
Adam Kovic: because that's a that was
Adam Kovic: supposed to be, I guess, a loss
Adam Kovic: leaders.
Aaron: Wait, no more buffets.
Adam Kovic: Very few are left.
Adam Kovic: They're mostly gone.
Aaron: How am I supposed to get my five dollar unlimited crab?
Adam Kovic: I mean, cheapest buffet you're going to get with unlimited crab
Adam Kovic: is probably going to be like eighty five dollars.
Adam Kovic: I'm sorry.
Adam Kovic: It's not for you anymore.
Adam Kovic: It's not for us.
Adam Kovic: We just got to go watch Thunder Down Under with our
Aaron: Wait, who's it for
Adam Kovic: wallets light.
Aaron: then?
Adam Kovic: Um, I think it's for sports people.
Adam Kovic: Honestly, that's at least what it feels like everyone was there
Adam Kovic: for to watch football on a giant screen by a pool while a DJ
Adam Kovic: played very loudly.
Aaron: And everyone.
Aaron: Yeah, everyone just pisses in the pool.
Aaron: That kind of deal.
Adam Kovic: There literally is a sign that
Adam Kovic: says no diarrhea in the pool,
Adam Kovic: which again means it had to have
Adam Kovic: happened before they put the
Adam Kovic: sign up.
Aaron: Well, to be fair, a lot of
Aaron: places like, you know, shitty
Aaron: pools, they they, uh, say if
Aaron: you've had diarrhea in the last
Aaron: week or two, you can't swim in
Aaron: this pool.
Aaron: And of course, I always ignore that because,
Adam Kovic: Right.
Aaron: you know.
Adam Kovic: How are they going to check
Aaron: Yeah.
Adam Kovic: do
Aaron: Well.
Adam Kovic: a just a flashlight and a quick cavity search.
Aaron: It's like how they did it in China for a while.
Aaron: They just they point a
Aaron: thermometer up your ass or a
Aaron: laser beam.
Aaron: Yeah.
Adam Kovic: Also the hotel, the circa is a no kid hotel.
Aaron: Nice.
Adam Kovic: So in theory you're like, okay,
Adam Kovic: this will be a bit cleaner, but
Adam Kovic: you have adults that have been
Adam Kovic: drinking so much, they
Adam Kovic: essentially have the bowels of
Adam Kovic: an infant.
Aaron: Mhm.
Adam Kovic: So. And there it's at eight a m
Adam Kovic: people are in the pool watching
Adam Kovic: the Packers win or lose or
Adam Kovic: whatever, and they're already
Adam Kovic: like two margaritas in and
Adam Kovic: holding a voodoo beer IPA or
Adam Kovic: whatever.
Adam Kovic: It's like those someone's peeing in that pool because
Aaron: Yeah, yeah.
Adam Kovic: it's fourth down, you know, whatever two 20s left on the
Adam Kovic: clock, they're not leaving.
Adam Kovic: They're going to piss themselves.
Adam Kovic: They're going to shit themselves and just play it off cool
Adam Kovic: because they're like, well, adults don't defecate in pools
Adam Kovic: like, but you did.
Adam Kovic: You did it for the football and now we're all dealing with it.
Adam Kovic: I didn't
Aaron: They should
Adam Kovic: go in
Aaron: just
Adam Kovic: the pool.
Aaron: flush the pool when the game is over.
Aaron: They just, they push a little
Aaron: handle and it just swirls like a
Aaron: toilet.
Aaron: That's
Adam Kovic: Yeah.
Aaron: how you know it's time to leave.
Adam Kovic: Not a bad idea.
Aaron: And then the water just rushes out onto the street.
Adam Kovic: Yeah. Well, it's, uh, it's
Adam Kovic: definitely the city of the
Adam Kovic: future, not.
Aaron: I've been to Vegas in so long that I don't.
Aaron: I wouldn't even know what to do with it, I don't gamble.
Adam Kovic: Was it the last time we went together?
Aaron: Yeah, that was the last time I was there.
Adam Kovic: Yeah. Stayed at the Re.
Adam Kovic: That was like not prime pandemic, but it was like coming
Adam Kovic: out of it.
Aaron: Yeah, yeah.
Adam Kovic: So it was still weird.
Adam Kovic: Like most of the casino was closed.
Adam Kovic: No buffets.
Adam Kovic: It did feel kind of like a ghost town.
Adam Kovic: It's kind of cool.
Aaron: Yeah. It was, you know, it was
Aaron: fun to be there doing what we
Aaron: were doing.
Aaron: But I was just like, I don't, I don't gamble and I don't, you
Aaron: know, I it's weird.
Aaron: It's a weird world there.
Aaron: Like, I don't like being in a place where I don't know when
Aaron: the sun is coming up.
Aaron: Like there's a lot of things that it is built upon that are
Aaron: an antithesis to my existence.
Aaron: Um, that's a pretty high horse sound and stuff.
Aaron: But like, I just like I, I don't
Aaron: know, I feel like I'm regressing
Aaron: when I'm there because I'm like,
Aaron: I could easily become my
Aaron: drunker, more depraved self
Aaron: here.
Adam Kovic: Yeah, I the way I see you is you're someone who does
Aaron: Yeah.
Adam Kovic: not like the gun range that anyone can get into.
Adam Kovic: You want to go to the Russian
Adam Kovic: roulette thing in the basement
Adam Kovic: that you kind of have to be
Adam Kovic: invited into.
Adam Kovic: That's your thing.
Adam Kovic: And Vegas
Aaron: Yeah.
Adam Kovic: is pretty much open to the masses.
Adam Kovic: And you want the guy shouting
Adam Kovic: Diddy Mao slapping, you know,
Adam Kovic: Christopher Walken across the
Adam Kovic: face.
Aaron: Yeah. I guess I am more highfalutin.
Aaron: That being
Adam Kovic: Yeah.
Aaron: said, though, I, uh, just yesterday I was like, I need to
Aaron: go to a gun range.
Aaron: I haven't been in so long and I've got my gun, I got guns, but
Aaron: I got my main piece that I can't remember the last time I fired
Aaron: it, let alone in anger.
Aaron: Uh, so I need to go because you need to go every once and again
Aaron: to just understand how powerful a gun is.
Aaron: And, uh, so you don't, you know, just bring it out for no reason.
Aaron: And yeah, I think I'm going to do that this week.
Aaron: I'm going to get a bunch of ammo and shoot it.
Aaron: And then the day, the next day
Aaron: is when Black Monday or Black
Aaron: October will really get into
Aaron: swing.
Aaron: But god damn it, I burn through
Aaron: all the fucking nine millimeter
Aaron: ammo.
Adam Kovic: I shot all those beer cans.
Aaron: Yeah.
Adam Kovic: So much wasted paps.
Adam Kovic: Uh. There was, strangely, the nicest behaving guy.
Adam Kovic: Who is pushing for open carry laws or something in, um, a
Adam Kovic: little town called Pahrump.
Adam Kovic: It's like outside of Vegas.
Adam Kovic: We stopped there.
Adam Kovic: Um, you'll you'll enjoy this.
Adam Kovic: We took the the pole star.
Adam Kovic: So it's,
Aaron: Wait, you
Adam Kovic: uh,
Aaron: bought that car?
Adam Kovic: I'm leasing it.
Adam Kovic: I chose not to buy it just because you can't really get it
Adam Kovic: the way you want.
Adam Kovic: Um, I couldn't, you can couldn't change anything.
Adam Kovic: It's basically like, here's the car, take it or leave it.
Adam Kovic: It's like, I'll take it.
Adam Kovic: I'll just lease it for now.
Adam Kovic: They're doing like, it's like an
Adam Kovic: insane amount of money off of it
Adam Kovic: right now.
Adam Kovic: So it's stupid affordable for what it is.
Adam Kovic: Um, but you still, it's not great for road trips.
Adam Kovic: You got to stop and charge.
Adam Kovic: And so
Aaron: How long
Adam Kovic: it's
Aaron: does it
Adam Kovic: like,
Aaron: take to charge?
Adam Kovic: uh, half an hour to get the thing all the way up.
Adam Kovic: But it's got to be a, like, it's not like gas where one type of
Adam Kovic: gas fills any car.
Adam Kovic: Essentially there are different wattages.
Adam Kovic: So yeah, so
Aaron: You
Adam Kovic: we
Aaron: mean
Adam Kovic: went
Aaron: voltages,
Adam Kovic: to this,
Aaron: or
Adam Kovic: I'm
Aaron: is it?
Aaron: What?
Adam Kovic: sorry, voltages or whatever kilowatts per hour or
Aaron: Yeah,
Adam Kovic: I, I don't know, science.
Aaron: yeah,
Adam Kovic: Look, you're
Aaron: you should
Adam Kovic: the.
Aaron: probably figure that out with that car that you have now.
Adam Kovic: No, it's so far it's working out just fine.
Adam Kovic: The the plan is just to charge it at home.
Aaron: Polestar
Adam Kovic: It's not really meant for road trips.
Aaron: lease.
Adam Kovic: It's like.
Adam Kovic: So you you charge it at home,
Adam Kovic: you let it charge overnight or
Adam Kovic: whatever.
Adam Kovic: It's more than enough to drive to work, come back.
Adam Kovic: Like that's what it's for.
Adam Kovic: Um, go get groceries, whatever.
Adam Kovic: It's like real basic stuff.
Adam Kovic: Road trip wise though, you gotta
Adam Kovic: stop, charge, go get some food,
Adam Kovic: whatever.
Adam Kovic: It's like I do.
Adam Kovic: I personally like that, but I get that's not for everybody.
Adam Kovic: But anyway, so we stopped, found a charger, left there, went to
Adam Kovic: go get some food.
Adam Kovic: There was a guy on the corner holding a sign like he was in.
Adam Kovic: He was dressed like, uh, like a
Adam Kovic: Teemu ice agent, sort of like,
Adam Kovic: uh, like a Call of Duty
Adam Kovic: cosplayer.
Adam Kovic: He had like the skull mask totally completely covered, had
Adam Kovic: a sidearm out on his, you know, he had a little holster there.
Adam Kovic: And I looked over and saw a sign that said open carry or die.
Adam Kovic: Um,
Aaron: Okay.
Adam Kovic: but as we're at the light trying
Adam Kovic: to cross, he was like aware of
Adam Kovic: us.
Adam Kovic: He's like, oh, I'm so sorry.
Adam Kovic: And like, got out of the way.
Adam Kovic: It's like he felt he just felt
Adam Kovic: like a very, like a very, uh, a
Adam Kovic: kind, like a Frankensteins
Adam Kovic: monster sort of around that
Adam Kovic: little girl.
Adam Kovic: Just.
Adam Kovic: I'm.
Adam Kovic: Oh, I don't want to bother you.
Adam Kovic: I'm so sorry.
Adam Kovic: And then, uh, when we came back, he left.
Adam Kovic: Um, but it's just interesting that that's what he wanted to do
Adam Kovic: with his day was dress up like a multiplayer character from Call
Adam Kovic: of Duty and hold a sign telling people you need an open carry or
Adam Kovic: you will die.
Aaron: You sure he wasn't like one of
Aaron: those people that the those tax
Aaron: filers hire around April like to
Aaron: flip signs.
Aaron: They're just like, it's just like an open carry.
Aaron: I don't know, initiative.
Aaron: And they hired him for ten bucks
Aaron: an hour to dress as how he
Aaron: dressed and
Adam Kovic: All
Aaron: to.
Adam Kovic: I know is when we came back, there were bullet holes in the
Adam Kovic: car, so I
Aaron: Mhm.
Adam Kovic: don't know what that meant.
Adam Kovic: Um, but I will be voting this November.
Aaron: I voted.
Adam Kovic: Well, I can't vote.
Adam Kovic: And Nevada's law, so I didn't
Adam Kovic: really have much of an effect on
Adam Kovic: me.
Adam Kovic: I just wanted pizza.
Aaron: This pole star pole star for us.
Adam Kovic: Yes.
Aaron: Lease
Adam Kovic: Dual motor.
Aaron: from
Adam Kovic: Long range.
Aaron: four point nine nine a month for
Aaron: twenty seven months with
Aaron: nineteen thousand Polestar Clean
Aaron: Vehicle initiative.
Adam Kovic: Yeah.
Aaron: Now, do they give me nineteen thousand dollars to take
Adam Kovic: Yes.
Aaron: this piece of shit?
Adam Kovic: Yeah. They gave me a check for nineteen thousand dollars.
Adam Kovic: It's
Aaron: Okay,
Adam Kovic: a great business move.
Aaron: okay.
Aaron: Actual Msrp cash do it sign includes one thousand five
Aaron: hundred dollars down payment.
Aaron: Uh, zero dollars security deposit.
Aaron: Let's see.
Aaron: Okay, so basically, I guess this is a good thing, I don't
Adam Kovic: It's
Aaron: know.
Adam Kovic: pretty good.
Adam Kovic: Pretty good for a car that came out this year.
Aaron: Yeah.
Adam Kovic: It's already discounted essentially by half.
Adam Kovic: And so I'm not completely you
Adam Kovic: know, we haven't sold the Rav4
Adam Kovic: yet.
Adam Kovic: I don't know if we will just
Adam Kovic: because probably just good to
Adam Kovic: have.
Adam Kovic: But for like a day to day driver
Adam Kovic: around LA, uh, lease an electric
Adam Kovic: car just to try it, you know,
Adam Kovic: something new.
Adam Kovic: Um, but I will say this.
Adam Kovic: Not since driving.
Adam Kovic: What was it, a Ferrari?
Adam Kovic: Did I drive a car in the freeway
Adam Kovic: that I felt like I wasn't going
Adam Kovic: fast enough?
Adam Kovic: Does that make sense?
Aaron: Like you aren't.
Aaron: The car had more to give, and you
Adam Kovic: I
Aaron: weren't.
Adam Kovic: had way more to give than I was giving it.
Aaron: Usually in the car world, well, real car world.
Aaron: We call that this car wants to run.
Adam Kovic: Yeah. So years ago, back at machinima, we did some I don't
Adam Kovic: know if you even.
Adam Kovic: I doubt you would have seen this.
Adam Kovic: We pitched some really stupid
Adam Kovic: idea for a stupid movie that had
Adam Kovic: come out.
Adam Kovic: It was a adaptation of a video game called need for speed.
Adam Kovic: And you know that,
Aaron: Yeah.
Adam Kovic: um, but this movie starred one of the guys from Breaking Bad.
Adam Kovic: I can't remember his name.
Adam Kovic: The guy who played Jesse.
Adam Kovic: You know what I'm talking about.
Aaron: Yeah.
Adam Kovic: That actor.
Adam Kovic: And so they're like, what can we do to promote this movie?
Adam Kovic: And we said, well, what if we rent Ferraris or like just
Adam Kovic: Supercars, anything, some sort of fast car in San Francisco,
Adam Kovic: and then we race each other down from San Francisco to LA and we
Adam Kovic: like release videos around it and do this, like
Aaron: We
Adam Kovic: stuff
Aaron: talked
Adam Kovic: that.
Aaron: about this, but keep going.
Adam Kovic: Okay. Yeah, I'm not sure if you'd seen it because it's an
Adam Kovic: embarrassing moment of my life.
Adam Kovic: Um, but it was the first time I'd ever driven a car getting on
Adam Kovic: the freeway where, like, I was going eighty miles per hour
Adam Kovic: before I even tried.
Aaron: Yeah.
Adam Kovic: And it scared me because until then, I had only driven corollas
Adam Kovic: and Hondas and just tiny little sedans or whatever, and it was
Adam Kovic: just like exciting and cool and like, oh, wow, cars can go fast.
Adam Kovic: Um, and so the pole star, not even in like the performance
Adam Kovic: mode, if you're just using the single motor, like I was going
Adam Kovic: ninety, one hundred, like without really trying,
Aaron: Mhm.
Adam Kovic: which felt nice.
Adam Kovic: That was a good feeling.
Aaron: What's that car weigh?
Aaron: Fifteen thousand pounds or something?
Adam Kovic: Oh. Something crazy.
Adam Kovic: Yeah,
Aaron: Yeah.
Adam Kovic: it can tow like three thousand two hundred, but
Aaron: That's
Adam Kovic: it could
Aaron: a
Adam Kovic: only go thirty
Aaron: crazy
Adam Kovic: five
Aaron: amount.
Adam Kovic: feet.
Adam Kovic: Yeah, that's not a crazy amount.
Aaron: I guess you could tow your.
Aaron: I don't know, I. The obvious
Aaron: joke is your wife's boyfriend's
Aaron: camper van.
Adam Kovic: Yeah, but I've seen so many
Adam Kovic: videos where they make that
Adam Kovic: joke.
Aaron: I know that's what I'm saying,
Adam Kovic: It's tired.
Aaron: but three thousand two hundred pounds, like in my uses.
Adam Kovic: And he has a sea dew.
Aaron: Yeah, he has a lime scooter.
Aaron: Uh, it's not enough to tow another car is the thing.
Aaron: You can tow, like, a little.
Aaron: You can essentially tow one of those egg camper things.
Aaron: Well, I guess like
Adam Kovic: Yeah.
Aaron: that thing that you have.
Aaron: Don't you have one of those?
Adam Kovic: No, I do not.
Adam Kovic: I rented one once.
Aaron: Oh. That's right.
Adam Kovic: That's the thing.
Adam Kovic: I installed the tow hitch on the
Adam Kovic: Rav4, and I've used it a total
Adam Kovic: of three
Aaron: Do you
Adam Kovic: times.
Aaron: own anything?
Aaron: There's a lot of renting and leasing and.
Adam Kovic: What?
Adam Kovic: No.
Aaron: Yeah.
Adam Kovic: Well, why would I buy a camper?
Adam Kovic: It's just going to sit there.
Aaron: Yeah.
Adam Kovic: It's the same thing with.
Adam Kovic: For a long time I was doing paddle boarding every weekend,
Adam Kovic: and it was like I wanted to buy a paddle board.
Adam Kovic: They're stupid expensive for what they are.
Adam Kovic: And I just did the math and like, does it make more sense to
Adam Kovic: just rent it when I use it?
Adam Kovic: AM I using it enough to justify it that I'm going to take it to
Adam Kovic: the beach every day?
Adam Kovic: And the answer turned out to be no, it is not worth buying.
Adam Kovic: So yeah, I rented a teardrop
Adam Kovic: trailer just to try it for
Adam Kovic: camping once.
Adam Kovic: Didn't love it.
Adam Kovic: Wasn't fun.
Adam Kovic: Glad I didn't buy one.
Adam Kovic: Um, I don't know.
Adam Kovic: I saw a guy on the freeway
Adam Kovic: yesterday hauling his pontoon
Adam Kovic: boat.
Aaron: That's
Adam Kovic: So.
Aaron: like you can't even haul a pontoon boat, can you?
Adam Kovic: Maybe they're pretty light,
Aaron: I
Adam Kovic: right?
Aaron: know you can hear me clicking.
Aaron: It's just because I was looking at available pole star cars.
Aaron: Uh, there
Adam Kovic: Yeah.
Aaron: are none in Houston, Austin, or Kansas City.
Adam Kovic: Yeah. There was one left in California.
Adam Kovic: I didn't say Los Angeles, California.
Aaron: Grapevine.
Aaron: No.
Adam Kovic: No, I had to go a little south.
Adam Kovic: A
Aaron: No,
Adam Kovic: little
Aaron: I
Adam Kovic: far
Aaron: mean, I was
Adam Kovic: south.
Aaron: saying Texas.
Aaron: I'm looking.
Adam Kovic: Oh
Aaron: There's no there's no, uh, from
Adam Kovic: oh,
Aaron: what I
Adam Kovic: I
Aaron: can
Adam Kovic: did,
Aaron: tell.
Adam Kovic: I did look at grapevine.
Adam Kovic: I was so the original plan was I was going to fly to Denver, pick
Aaron: Yeah.
Adam Kovic: one up from it was Polestar Denver.
Adam Kovic: And I was going to drive it back and do like a mini road trip.
Adam Kovic: Um, but their website was not up
Adam Kovic: to date and they didn't have the
Adam Kovic: car and there were already like
Adam Kovic: on hold.
Adam Kovic: So I was like, well, that sucks.
Adam Kovic: Um, what else can I do?
Adam Kovic: And then found one a little more local wasn't the color that I
Adam Kovic: wanted, but you can always change that later.
Aaron: So you've got a car now that has no support whatsoever that
Aaron: they're probably going to brick in the US.
Aaron: And if you need to get it fixed, you probably need to ship it.
Aaron: What?
Aaron: To Europe.
Adam Kovic: No,
Aaron: What?
Adam Kovic: it was made in Busan.
Aaron: Excuse me.
Adam Kovic: Korea?
Aaron: Oh, okay.
Adam Kovic: No, it's still.
Aaron: I thought
Adam Kovic: It's.
Aaron: you said Blue Sun. I thought, yeah,
Adam Kovic: No,
Aaron: that was a
Adam Kovic: it's
Aaron: company
Adam Kovic: still
Aaron: that makes breast enhancement drugs.
Adam Kovic: probably.
Adam Kovic: I mean, they might help us.
Adam Kovic: No, it's still it can still be serviced.
Adam Kovic: And also, if they're just
Adam Kovic: basically not they're not
Adam Kovic: selling the pulsar five in the
Adam Kovic: US.
Adam Kovic: It's the same thing like BYD.
Adam Kovic: They're selling them in Mexico.
Adam Kovic: They're selling them in Canada.
Adam Kovic: They're not selling them in the US.
Adam Kovic: I imagine it's just a matter of time before that changes.
Adam Kovic: But who knows.
Adam Kovic: Uh, with gas prices being as low as they are, I can only foresee,
Adam Kovic: you know, diesel coming back.
Aaron: Uh, a buddy of mine is selling a nineteen sixty seven Volkswagen
Aaron: Beetle, which I think would have been the better choice for you.
Adam Kovic: Mhm.
Aaron: Um, fuel wise, uh, I guess cool factor wise.
Adam Kovic: Which planets does it use to
Adam Kovic: make ambient lighting in the
Adam Kovic: car?
Aaron: What?
Aaron: Oh,
Adam Kovic: So
Aaron: yeah.
Adam Kovic: you can yeah, you can choose your planet.
Adam Kovic: That's kind of important to me when picking out a vehicle.
Aaron: The issue with the beetle is it weighs about probably a third of
Aaron: what your car weighs now, or maybe a fourth.
Adam Kovic: Mhm.
Aaron: Uh, so if you get hit by anything bigger than, uh,
Aaron: traffic cone, you're
Adam Kovic: Mhm.
Aaron: basically, uh, you're pretty hosed.
Aaron: But it's
Adam Kovic: Yeah.
Aaron: nice.
Aaron: It's, uh, he's listed, it's
Aaron: seventeen thousand dollars,
Aaron: which is, that's they give you
Aaron: nineteen grand for getting a
Aaron: pole star.
Aaron: So you had two grand left over.
Adam Kovic: There was some show.
Adam Kovic: I was in Pahrump on one of the
Adam Kovic: four TVs being played at the the
Adam Kovic: pizzeria.
Adam Kovic: And I did see some guys.
Adam Kovic: There's a reality show where they were trying to buy a red
Adam Kovic: Karmann Ghia off of some old man on a ranch.
Adam Kovic: I thought Aaron could do this show.
Aaron: This porn stars you were watching.
Adam Kovic: It might have been I couldn't tell.
Adam Kovic: I could.
Adam Kovic: It was Kitchen Nightmares on one side.
Adam Kovic: It was wipe out Canada on the
Adam Kovic: other, and then some random
Adam Kovic: sports channel.
Adam Kovic: And then directly in front of me was some car.
Adam Kovic: It may have been Pawn Stars, but
Aaron: That seems like a porn stars
Adam Kovic: yeah.
Aaron: line up with the other shows you're describing.
Adam Kovic: But I even though there are no subtitles on and there's no
Adam Kovic: sound, I could definitely tell they were trying to lowball that
Adam Kovic: old man versus Karmann Ghia.
Adam Kovic: And
Aaron: Yeah.
Adam Kovic: they were like, oh, this is a good car.
Adam Kovic: Oh wow.
Adam Kovic: Blah blah.
Adam Kovic: I was like, Aaron would have
Adam Kovic: probably handled this better, I
Adam Kovic: assume.
Aaron: Well, uh, maybe.
Aaron: Or maybe not, but the if it's.
Aaron: I think I may have seen this Porn Stars episode, and I bet I
Aaron: can look it up.
Aaron: Um, and if it is, they're looking at this comic.
Aaron: Yes.
Aaron: It's the red Karmann Ghia, right.
Aaron: They're looking at this Karmann
Aaron: Ghia, and it's like I could tell
Aaron: it was a it was a like a mash of
Aaron: maybe two or three different
Aaron: cars.
Aaron: And then also they labeled it wrong, like year wise on the
Aaron: thing, but it still looked good.
Aaron: And then, yeah, they gave the guy a price of like a third of
Aaron: what it should be.
Aaron: And
Adam Kovic: Yeah.
Aaron: that whole show, like once you figure out that Rick Harrison
Aaron: and all them are just, they're no good, they're just no good.
Aaron: It kind of all makes sense that they own a pawn shop and they're
Aaron: doing all these things.
Aaron: But like, you want to you, you want those, you know, they seem
Aaron: like, well read people.
Aaron: Well, one, the Rick Harrison bald one did.
Aaron: The rest of them were kind of like meth heads, but,
Adam Kovic: Yeah.
Aaron: um.
Adam Kovic: No one.
Adam Kovic: No one goes through life
Adam Kovic: striving to be a porn store
Adam Kovic: owner, right?
Aaron: No, no. Um.
Adam Kovic: You end up there and then maybe make the best of it.
Aaron: Yeah, I, I don't even want to
Aaron: spend time talking about this
Aaron: guy because I know exactly that
Aaron: I'm looking at a. Yeah, it was
Aaron: definitely porn stars you were
Aaron: watching.
Aaron: Makes me sad.
Adam Kovic: I wasn't, I had no choice, it was
Aaron: No, I'm not saying
Adam Kovic: being
Aaron: you're sad, I just.
Adam Kovic: the way you made it sound like I was.
Aaron: Know.
Adam Kovic: I chose to watch this show and I. But like I said, I could tell
Adam Kovic: they were definitely taking advantage of an old man.
Aaron: Yeah. I mean, that's kind of the
Aaron: M.O. of the show taking
Aaron: advantage of of desperate
Aaron: people.
Adam Kovic: I've honestly never seen a
Adam Kovic: single episode of Pawn Stars or
Adam Kovic: Kitchen Nightmares.
Aaron: Um, you should watch Kitchen Nightmares, but you should watch
Aaron: the British version.
Aaron: It's about twenty years old now, but, um.
Adam Kovic: Yeah, I watched a little bit of Bar Rescue, which is basically
Adam Kovic: the same thing, but that was just because I'd heard about it.
Adam Kovic: And there was a it was a bar in D.C. that was pirate themed and
Adam Kovic: there were like, we need help.
Adam Kovic: Like, well, you gotta get rid of the pirate theme and said, well,
Adam Kovic: we want to do anything but that.
Adam Kovic: And one of the guys there had an
Adam Kovic: eye patch because he had lost
Adam Kovic: his eye in an unrelated, like, I
Adam Kovic: think it was like a sword fight
Adam Kovic: accident, but unrelated to the
Adam Kovic: job.
Adam Kovic: And then in the end, so they try it.
Adam Kovic: They're like, okay, fine, we'll try this no pirate themed thing.
Adam Kovic: Sure.
Adam Kovic: Whatever.
Adam Kovic: Jon Taffer.
Adam Kovic: And they do it and it's like a raging success.
Adam Kovic: And then within a month, they're like, we, we got to go back to
Adam Kovic: the pirate thing.
Adam Kovic: This isn't working.
Adam Kovic: And then they go out of business.
Aaron: That's because all they go like
Aaron: we've been hearing complaints
Aaron: about the lack of pirate theme,
Aaron: and it's
Adam Kovic: Yeah.
Aaron: the three people that would come
Aaron: in and like, order, you know,
Aaron: like a drink or a couple drinks
Aaron: and just talk to the bartender
Aaron: forever.
Aaron: And then like just kind of tip a little amount.
Aaron: Those are the, you know, and also
Adam Kovic: Yeah.
Aaron: some owners just don't want to be wrong.
Adam Kovic: Um, speaking of things you should watch, though.
Adam Kovic: I thought you might like this.
Adam Kovic: You may hate it.
Adam Kovic: I'm not sure.
Adam Kovic: Uh, there.
Adam Kovic: Have you seen the channel rich rebuilds?
Aaron: Is this on YouTube?
Adam Kovic: Yeah. Uh, it's a gentleman, I believe, named Rich, but
Aaron: Oh,
Adam Kovic: yeah, I,
Aaron: rich
Adam Kovic: uh,
Aaron: at rich rebuilds,
Adam Kovic: yeah,
Aaron: I see.
Adam Kovic: yeah, yeah.
Adam Kovic: He mostly focuses, I think, on electric cars, but he does like,
Adam Kovic: he's got a kind of a cool shop.
Adam Kovic: And so like he, he bought, I
Adam Kovic: don't know, you see his latest
Adam Kovic: video
Aaron: This
Adam Kovic: he
Aaron: guy
Adam Kovic: bought.
Aaron: does numbers.
Adam Kovic: Yeah. Um, I for whatever reason,
Adam Kovic: I got recommended his video
Adam Kovic: because he tried buying a, uh,
Adam Kovic: Amazon
Aaron: I see
Adam Kovic: delivery
Aaron: this.
Adam Kovic: van, the Rivian and I'm hoping
Adam Kovic: he can get it to work, but I
Adam Kovic: think it's a software issue that
Adam Kovic: he can't do anything because
Adam Kovic: it's locked.
Adam Kovic: But hopefully, like with the reverse anything
Aaron: Yeah.
Adam Kovic: stuff, he can reverse engineer anything.
Adam Kovic: He can do this.
Adam Kovic: But, um, it was really interesting.
Adam Kovic: He did.
Adam Kovic: Their videos are great.
Adam Kovic: but the latest one, the pulsar one I. I highly recommend it.
Adam Kovic: It was a good video.
Adam Kovic: It's very funny.
Adam Kovic: It's well edited and
Aaron: I see he's
Adam Kovic: it's
Aaron: got
Adam Kovic: entertaining.
Aaron: it. I bought a band Chinese car from a rental company.
Aaron: Is this it?
Adam Kovic: Sorry you broke out there for a sec.
Aaron: It says I bought a band.
Aaron: Chinese car from rental company.
Aaron: This looks like Polestar.
Adam Kovic: Yeah. Well, they keep joking that it's too Chinese.
Aaron: Oh, he's wearing a little Chinese smock, too.
Adam Kovic: Yeah.
Aaron: This guy.
Aaron: I'll look into this guy.
Adam Kovic: I think you'll like it.
Adam Kovic: It's.
Adam Kovic: I feel like you would get along
Adam Kovic: with this guy if he didn't do
Adam Kovic: electric cars.
Aaron: Yeah, but the thing is, in my next iteration of the Grand
Aaron: Tour, Top Gear, you need that kind of tension.
Adam Kovic: Mhm.
Aaron: Now, granted, he has, uh, did I
Aaron: see one point nine million
Aaron: subscribers?
Adam Kovic: Yeah. He would never want to talk to you.
Aaron: The null and void channel has a
Aaron: little less than a tenth of
Aaron: that.
Adam Kovic: Yeah.
Aaron: But anyway, tension is good.
Adam Kovic: Keep losing them when I upload videos.
Aaron: And he.
Aaron: Yeah, yeah, it's going down.
Adam Kovic: Who cares?
Aaron: Uh, but this guy seems like a, a fun dude.
Adam Kovic: Yeah. No, I, I thought of you
Adam Kovic: when I saw that video and I was
Adam Kovic: like, oh, should I send this to
Adam Kovic: Aaron?
Adam Kovic: He hates electric cars, but I
Adam Kovic: think you might find it
Adam Kovic: interesting.
Adam Kovic: And it's pretty wild with how they, they reach the conclusion
Adam Kovic: of, uh, of the vehicle.
Adam Kovic: And it's, I think it's pretty neat.
Aaron: But he's got hold on.
Aaron: I see he's got a Bentley Arnage here.
Adam Kovic: You
Aaron: What
Adam Kovic: gotta
Aaron: is
Adam Kovic: start
Aaron: it?
Aaron: This
Adam Kovic: somewhere.
Aaron: is four months ago.
Aaron: I bought a broken three hundred
Aaron: thousand dollars Bentley for
Aaron: five grand and fixed it with
Aaron: baby oil.
Adam Kovic: Yeah. You gotta
Aaron: All
Adam Kovic: start
Aaron: right,
Adam Kovic: small.
Aaron: puff, I got you.
Adam Kovic: Yeah.
Aaron: That's not racist, is it?
Adam Kovic: I didn't know what you're
Adam Kovic: referencing to, so it's not
Adam Kovic: racist to me, but it might be to
Adam Kovic: someone else.
Aaron: A baby oil, fixing things with baby oil.
Adam Kovic: Yeah.
Aaron: Yeah.
Adam Kovic: Is that.
Aaron: Say all right, someone in the comments.
Aaron: I believe this is called the ditty Fix.
Aaron: Very
Adam Kovic: Ah.
Aaron: nice.
Adam Kovic: Okay.
Aaron: Still though, I'm going to watch this.
Adam Kovic: So you were being racist and I just didn't know.
Aaron: No, the person who made this comment says that they've been a
Aaron: black man for over twenty years.
Adam Kovic: If I remain ignorant to the world around me.
Adam Kovic: Does that make me right?
Aaron: This guy.
Aaron: Wait, so Rich rebuilds is not just doing electric cars, but
Aaron: I'll watch his electric things.
Aaron: But he's got some other.
Aaron: I'll have to look into this.
Aaron: This.
Aaron: God damn it!
Aaron: Another.
Aaron: This is going to waste my day because
Adam Kovic: Yeah.
Aaron: I'm going to watch all of these videos.
Adam Kovic: Good.
Aaron: I can't, I can't do this because
Aaron: literally yesterday I was
Aaron: watching Kitchen Nightmares on
Aaron: YouTube because they're all on
Aaron: there.
Adam Kovic: I feel like this would be more interesting to you though.
Adam Kovic: Like this would be better for your soul.
Aaron: Yeah, it makes
Adam Kovic: It's
Aaron: me want
Adam Kovic: it's
Aaron: to keep.
Adam Kovic: vaguely related to your your likes.
Aaron: It makes me want to do that.
Aaron: A car show with you on the channel?
Adam Kovic: I would like to do that.
Aaron: MM.
Adam Kovic: Anything really?
Aaron: Yeah. MM.
Adam Kovic: Something
Aaron: Maybe
Adam Kovic: we
Aaron: we
Adam Kovic: had.
Aaron: can do partnership with Rich rebuilds.
Adam Kovic: Yeah. I mean, I doubt it, but yeah.
Aaron: Yeah.
Adam Kovic: Actually, shit, I had a really dumb idea, and I think this
Adam Kovic: would be fun.
Aaron: Yeah.
Adam Kovic: And I'm sure someone's already done it, but fuck it.
Adam Kovic: Whatever I wanted to try, this would be fun to do with Duff.
Adam Kovic: Try to do a data center on
Adam Kovic: wheels so you get an electric
Adam Kovic: car,
Aaron: Yeah.
Adam Kovic: something with a huge battery.
Adam Kovic: Uh, and then you get additional like backup generator and stuff.
Adam Kovic: And you, you plug in or
Adam Kovic: something into it and you get a
Adam Kovic: Starlink and you set up a
Adam Kovic: reverse proxy, and you drive
Adam Kovic: around town with your own little
Adam Kovic: mobile server.
Aaron: Why not?
Adam Kovic: Uh.
Aaron: Just why not buy a school bus for two grand and do that?
Adam Kovic: Sure. Yeah, something like just
Aaron: And just
Adam Kovic: server
Aaron: paint
Adam Kovic: racks.
Aaron: it along the side with, like a brush and black paint.
Aaron: It says data center.
Adam Kovic: So my thought was, you take that to a town that has like shitty
Adam Kovic: internet or, um, you know, they, they don't have enough bandwidth
Adam Kovic: or they people don't whatever it is, like, it's, it's just like a
Adam Kovic: town of like four people and you do that, you bring the school
Adam Kovic: bus and yeah, it's almost like, uh, it's like an ice cream
Adam Kovic: truck, but it goes around and you're just, you're basically
Adam Kovic: offering like Netflix or, uh, you know, you, you download a
Adam Kovic: bunch of YouTube videos and you're like, you're serving it
Adam Kovic: on your server.
Adam Kovic: So you're just, you're like, connect to my Wi-Fi and you
Adam Kovic: connect to the IP address, you know, one nine two dot one six
Adam Kovic: eight dot one dot one.
Adam Kovic: colon five hundred and fifty five.
Adam Kovic: And you can watch these six YouTube videos.
Adam Kovic: As I drive around.
Adam Kovic: I do circles around your house.
Aaron: That's like the pussy version of mad Max too,
Adam Kovic: Yes.
Aaron: where like, you show up and
Aaron: you're like, I'm offering
Aaron: information and you just park
Aaron: there and it's just, it's
Aaron: episodes of Will and Grace and
Aaron: like, you know, just shit, you
Aaron: know?
Aaron: It's like, this is it.
Aaron: Get
Adam Kovic: Yeah.
Aaron: used to what this is going to be.
Adam Kovic: Bookmobile or whatever.
Adam Kovic: It's like, well, this is all we got.
Adam Kovic: Like, this is all we can offer you this month,
Aaron: It's ready.
Adam Kovic: obviously.
Aaron: Player one is the book.
Aaron: And, uh.
Adam Kovic: Also the movie, but it's just
Adam Kovic: the trailer or no, it's the,
Adam Kovic: it's the Russian cam version
Adam Kovic: where someone keeps standing up
Adam Kovic: to leave because the movie is so
Adam Kovic: bad.
Aaron: I'm looking up school buses there.
Aaron: All right.
Aaron: I'm going to get on the auction site.
Aaron: That's a really good idea.
Adam Kovic: Yeah, I know, just wish someone would fund it.
Aaron: Well, no, no one's going to find it, but.
Adam Kovic: Well, if you and I move to one of these towns where they've got
Adam Kovic: three car garages for your, uh, your RV or whatever.
Adam Kovic: Definitely buy one of these Chinese lifts.
Adam Kovic: And we could do some work on a bus.
Aaron: Man. Well, these buses, you can get them for pretty.
Aaron: Yeah.
Aaron: You can get them for pretty cheap.
Adam Kovic: Can you do an EV conversion for a bus?
Aaron: Well, what are those?
Aaron: Battery packs cost five grand.
Adam Kovic: Something like that.
Adam Kovic: But I know you can get them used and they, they can take a
Adam Kovic: beating, which is great.
Aaron: Yeah.
Adam Kovic: And I saw this other channel
Adam Kovic: where a guy was trying to do
Adam Kovic: Cannonball Run with a Rivian,
Adam Kovic: and they put two Rivian battery
Adam Kovic: packs on top of each other in
Adam Kovic: the trunk.
Aaron: Jesus.
Aaron: Oh,
Adam Kovic: So
Aaron: yeah,
Adam Kovic: that
Aaron: I saw that,
Adam Kovic: yeah,
Aaron: too.
Adam Kovic: so it can get like six to eight
Adam Kovic: hundred miles of charge or
Adam Kovic: whatever.
Adam Kovic: But it's like, well, yeah, could you just so rip all the seats
Adam Kovic: out of the bus, and then just how many battery packs can you
Adam Kovic: put under a bus and on top just.
Aaron: You put him in the bus?
Aaron: What are you talking about?
Aaron: It is a a hauler thing.
Adam Kovic: That's true, I guess how you don't really want the floor to
Adam Kovic: be batteries though, right?
Adam Kovic: You want them outside of the vehicle.
Aaron: What does it matter if there's a
Aaron: quarter inch of steel between it
Aaron: or not?
Adam Kovic: That's a good point.
Adam Kovic: Yeah, I,
Aaron: It's going to
Adam Kovic: it
Aaron: kill
Adam Kovic: would just
Aaron: you
Adam Kovic: be
Aaron: anyway.
Adam Kovic: really it's yeah, I was gonna say it's gonna be funny when we
Adam Kovic: put them in there, but we don't, we just use sticky tape and hope
Adam Kovic: that they don't move too much.
Aaron: I think I told you this before, it's like when my dad was
Aaron: working at this dealership and they started getting.
Aaron: Is that dodge?
Aaron: And they started getting electric cars in.
Aaron: So they needed to do training.
Aaron: And part of the training was like, this is the, uh, lamb
Aaron: crook that you use to when someone is getting shocked by
Aaron: the battery, you
Adam Kovic: Oh,
Aaron: use
Adam Kovic: yeah.
Aaron: this and you pull their body off the battery, and it's like this
Aaron: long hooked pole.
Aaron: And they're like, yeah, they're like, yeah, but how do you know
Aaron: when they're being shot?
Aaron: It's like, oh, they'll just
Aaron: stand there and start smoking,
Aaron: you know?
Aaron: Oh.
Adam Kovic: We could do that.
Adam Kovic: That could be us.
Aaron: I like this idea, this mobile data center
Adam Kovic: Yeah.
Aaron: idea.
Adam Kovic: What
Aaron: Actually,
Adam Kovic: else?
Aaron: it'd
Adam Kovic: What
Aaron: be awesome
Adam Kovic: else?
Aaron: to park it outside of rich people's houses and just be
Adam Kovic: And
Aaron: like.
Adam Kovic: just just run Kali Linux and try to break into their Wi-Fi.
Aaron: Yeah, this is, this is we're building data centers here now,
Aaron: but it's mobile.
Aaron: So we
Adam Kovic: Oh, yeah.
Aaron: can.
Adam Kovic: That's a great idea.
Aaron: Yeah.
Adam Kovic: Oh. Oh, that.
Adam Kovic: See, that's a great idea.
Adam Kovic: We we get sponsored by ChatGPT
Adam Kovic: to bring AI to the most rural of
Adam Kovic: areas.
Adam Kovic: And we're like, well, we'll bring a local version of ChatGPT
Adam Kovic: to your house via our bus.
Adam Kovic: Uh, at some point they escort us out of the building, but,
Aaron: Yeah.
Adam Kovic: you know, they have money to spend, I
Aaron: And
Adam Kovic: think.
Aaron: we're using like a Quinn model anyway.
Adam Kovic: Yeah,
Aaron: Like we're just
Adam Kovic: well.
Aaron: using.
Adam Kovic: And we have to use llama.
Adam Kovic: I'm sorry.
Aaron: Yeah.
Adam Kovic: Like we only have one thirty, sixty.
Adam Kovic: It's.
Adam Kovic: That's all we can afford.
Adam Kovic: Yeah.
Aaron: I like the idea.
Adam Kovic: I like it too.
Adam Kovic: I again, it might just stay that, but um, I would love, I'd
Adam Kovic: love to build a bus that is, that has actually always been a
Adam Kovic: dream of mine.
Aaron: Sorry.
Aaron: My vacuum cleaner just came in.
Aaron: It's telling
Adam Kovic: I can
Aaron: me
Adam Kovic: hear
Aaron: it's
Adam Kovic: it.
Aaron: time.
Adam Kovic: Yeah. It's it's time for your monthly security screening.
Aaron: Yeah, man.
Adam Kovic: Yeah. Speaking of which, I need a, I need to debloat my LG TV
Adam Kovic: because apparently it's using my soundbar to listen to dogs
Adam Kovic: barking to pitch me dog food.
Aaron: Jesus Christ.
Adam Kovic: It's gotten really bad.
Adam Kovic: I keep yeah, there's this thing called like broken glass or
Adam Kovic: something like that.
Aaron: Yeah.
Adam Kovic: I gotta look into.
Adam Kovic: Yeah, I don't know.
Adam Kovic: Your TV's pretty dumb, so you don't need to worry about that.
Aaron: My TV barely functions as a TV.
Adam Kovic: Yeah. Glass house, that's the one.
Adam Kovic: Yeah.
Adam Kovic: I think I've been saying this for weeks.
Adam Kovic: I'm going to finally do it today, I promise.
Aaron: All right.
Adam Kovic: All right.
Adam Kovic: Well, maybe I'll write about
Adam Kovic: that this week, since I didn't
Adam Kovic: write about anything the last
Adam Kovic: two weeks.
Aaron: Should a newsletter go out?
Aaron: I guess I need to help with that.
Adam Kovic: We should probably write something or
Aaron: Yeah.
Adam Kovic: put something out new.
Adam Kovic: Yeah. I'm just oh, it's it's holiday stuff.
Adam Kovic: So yeah, the things that pay money are ramping up and I've
Adam Kovic: been stupid busy, but I still want to do things.
Adam Kovic: I want to make stuff.
Aaron: Yeah.
Adam Kovic: I want to do my, my slop tank video.
Aaron: Yeah, yeah.
Adam Kovic: Uh,
Aaron: Agreed.
Adam Kovic: I think they updated it.
Adam Kovic: So controllers work with it now.
Aaron: Oh.
Adam Kovic: Yeah, that was nice of them.
Adam Kovic: I don't know.
Adam Kovic: My motherboard comes this week.
Adam Kovic: I can finally finish building my little mini PC.
Adam Kovic: Not that I'm going to do anything with that.
Adam Kovic: Doesn't matter.
Adam Kovic: I'm excited though.
Aaron: Well, I like all these half baked ideas.
Aaron: I'm gonna go watch this guy and get inspired.
Aaron: This rich rebuilds.
Adam Kovic: If you can find a two thousand
Adam Kovic: dollars Polestar two that we can
Adam Kovic: rebuild, I think you you'd be a
Adam Kovic: happy clam.
Aaron: It'd be great to turn a Tesla into a data center.
Adam Kovic: Turn a Tesla into a gas powered car.
Aaron: Yeah, well, there's people that do that already.
Adam Kovic: Uh, yeah.
Adam Kovic: That's the thing is, the internet's ruined any semblance
Adam Kovic: of an idea of an original idea.
Aaron: Nah.
Adam Kovic: It's all gone.
Adam Kovic: I bet someone's built a data center bus and I'm gonna go.
Adam Kovic: I'm not even gonna.
Adam Kovic: Look, I don't care.
Aaron: I'm gonna look.
Adam Kovic: You look, but don't tell me or
Adam Kovic: give me the the thumbs up or
Adam Kovic: thumbs down that it's worth
Adam Kovic: doing.
Adam Kovic: Our take on it.
Aaron: Okay. That I will do.
Adam Kovic: Okay, I appreciate you.
Adam Kovic: All right.
Adam Kovic: I'll chat with you on another day.
Aaron: Okay.
Adam Kovic: Bye.
Aaron: Bye.
